    nice job Fro. I installed a Rockford P-300 in a 2019 mustang and the guy is complaining that sometimes he can hear his car humming when it's parked and not running? by the way it was the hardest car ever to install rear deck speakers.

      It needs a remote wire hooked up to it that shuts the power off when the car is off
      I had the exact same problem with mine
      It will kill the battery if it’s not remedied

    🤔 why run signal and power side by side? Good way to get interference on signal wires.

      If this was a highs amp you would be right. The newer technology amps and much higher quality Rcas pretty much make this topic a non issue anymore.

    Can we get a video of it playing?
    I have the 300 watt preloaded 12 and I’d like to see if there is a big enough difference with output to me justify possibly upgrading....
    I’m really curious as to how much this thing makes the rear view mirror jump, how much rattle it makes and how loud it is outside the car with the windows up

      unless they have the proper tools to measure DBz and output the video would just be trash. you can't judge a video unless the proper audio measuring tools are used.

    Very nice, I just installed one as well. What do you have the gain on the box set at?

    • @stereoking7778
      @stereoking7778  4 роки тому +5

      Punch eq is usually all the way down, cross overs at 80 hz, and the gain is around half. But keep in mind every cars audio system is different so the gain will vary vehicle to vehicle.

      It is loud yes, but not quite as deep as other 12s I've owned and heard. Not sure if that's because I have it in a sedan coupe type vehicle (biggish boot) compared to hatchback

    My cars battery and stock amp are located in the trunk. This is the first time I'm installing a sub by myself and my only question is where do I run the remote wiring to? The head unit? Or the stock amplifier in the trunk? The manual says run it to the amp, but where do I connect it? I'm so confused, I understand the rca's, power and ground but I don't know what to do with the remote wiring.
