Going to stick with the Rivet counter. The CSX law enforcement unit I got last week was nothing short of fantastic. After detailing locomotives for over thirty years my eyes just can't squint down that far anymore.
Did you see on the Rivet Counter after start up when going to speed step one it takes a several seconds before it moves. In a consist with a GEVO its a problem. The GEVO wants to move while the Dash 9 does not. You have to turn Delay starting off. CV 124 to 0. I like the feature of the delay start but wished that it worked with the other engine types. I wish Scale Trains would look in to this are acknowledge that they are. Thanks for your review. As an N Scale modeler the detail is just as great.
Great review James! Although I have a few rivet counters, I actually prefer the Operator versions because of the lower risk of damaging details on the locomotive. Here's a fun fact about the prototype BNSF 4331, it's often referred to as the "Frankenloco" because of it unique look!
I suspect the "weathering" on the fuel tanks of the Rivet Counter BNSF is a result of bad packing. It would not make sense to have the loco in prestine right out of the paint shed condition except for that one area.
@@kyleftw1679 oh you do like what you have tell me I wanna kn I'm ur friend right I'm gonna be getting a building soon so I can build my layout did I tell u bout the other locomotive I got

Impressive product review, these Scaletrains company locomotives always manage to impress me whenever i view their appearance and operation.
Nice review James, those engines look amazing so much detail and sound for both the rivet counter and operator.
Keep it up 👍🏻
Another great review, thanks for showcasing so many products for us!

Anyone else notice the csx spirit units (911,3194 and 1776) in the background
Great review, James! I also own several Rivet Counters.
Is there a way I can program the "Whoop" noise in my Operator Model Dash 9's air compressor?

In case anybody isn't clear, the operator is also missing the rotating bearings caps. Not that it isn't a good value for the money.
Wow nice engines
