Very informative, I know a guy who judges everyone based on their physique, if someone has a decent physique with atleast 2 or 3 years of hard workout and gained a significant amount of muscel, then (The Guy) says he got good genetics. And if some one has a busy lifestyle and doesn't have much time for workout, cannot be focused about excercise and does workout on weekends, has been doing this for the same 2-3 years but can't show some gains and a good physique, then in this case (The Guy) says that the he didn't got or born with good genetics. I mean how some can judge anyone based on their appearance but not know their true potential, that they didn't used. And Sir ! You said that right some, thinks themselves as an expert in the field of excercise science after achieving a developed physique.
Absolutely right! We never need bulking and cutting unless until if you're not going to compete. I started eating normal indian food from the day I understood real concepts of food.

You don't need to bulk for gaining muscle. You can build muscle at maintenance level if you are fat over (20%) and want to lose then slowly loose the wait until you feel comfortable and able to maintain that physical (body fat level) year around then from there you start maintaining that bf level and slowly gain muscle Cutting and bulking are for body builders who cut to extreme like 5-6% body fat which is not healthy and maintainable So the bulk to like 10-15% body fat range then Start maintaining that level of bf and Traine hard .

There is not much difference if you go to gym or not. Depends upon consistency. Where can you workout so that you can stay consistent. Congos on your progress tho.
Wish I got a trainer like this during my college days around 6-7 years back. I joined the gym to increase my performance in sports like cricket and football which required some strength, Speed and endurance. But as usual I was pushed to this bulking cutting bodybuilding bullshit by the trainers . And this was Transform Gym a subsidiary of Gold's Gym. Just imagine what goes on in Desi gali nukkad gyms.

Bro you have to be on a calorie deficit with healthy fats and carbs included in your diet and mainly your protein intake should be top notch as per your body requirement, you can gain muscle in a calorie deficit as well but the rate will be slower as in case of calorie surplus. So be on a calorie deficit eat healthy complete your daily protein requirement.

I have also seewn that there is so much confusion in fitness world and health with these words...although I notice HIIT exercise makes one lose belly fat which makes body is somewhat aesthetic shape to start weight training ..but I think also overall fat and mass is improved if one starts combo of weight training and HIIT sprinting
