    It is a beautiful polyphonic song. It is similar to the songs of the Laberia province in South-Albania (the words are not Albanian). Based on title letters the singers must sing in Greek. Anybody can say which province are the singers from? Thanks in advance.

      Without the slightest doubt, November 25, 2005 is a historic day for the entire cultural heritage of Albanians, but also for Albania itself. On this day, "Albanian folk iso-polyphony" is included in the list of "Masterpieces of the Oral Heritage of Humanity" protected by UNESCO, a fact that was announced in all the world's media by Dr. Koichiro Matscura, Director-General of UNESCO, from UNESCO headquarters in Paris.
      To come up with this decision, the International Jury gathered in Paris from November 21-24, 2005, examined over 60 candidacies proposed to be included in the "Masterpiece of Humanity" list, proposals made in official channels by different countries in any part of the world by completing the files and criteria announced for this purpose.
      The decision-making jury consisted of:

    For sure Lab Arvanitic songs. Greeks don't sing in this style. It reminds me of the late Xhevat Avdalli of Gjirokaster.

Unlike turkogreeks, slavogreeks, egypto greeks and other sellouts that speak the invented language that is called now "Greek" with no memory of times past and no recollection of their ancestors.

      @@hellenicbloodlineWe don't wear plis exclusively. That was the rural hat. We used to wear what is called Albanais Chapeaux that you see on all Stradiotes. "Arvanite" is a neohellenic term. In 1821 all were Albanians. None uses the term "Arvanite'.
