When i was little, my dad and mum had a big fallout, and drove them hours apart. When my dad would come up to get me, we would listen to this C.D all the way to his house on a loop. Now, I can't be in a room with someone who says that this band sucks. If you have nothin nice to say, don't say anything at all.
This may be a crazy story but...I was hosting a dog show in 2011. I seen this dog step out of a van. She was with a rescue and was available for adoption. I ran over to meet her. 2 weeks later she came home to live with me. She was around 3 yrs old. I lost her last year. I have never cried so hard in my life and to date, I cry every day missing her. So my point to this song is...one of the guys that was apart of our team with the dog show,,,made a video of that day..He put this song to it. So to me..this was OUR song. Her name was Diamond and low and behold...in the song it says a diamond in the rough. Thats what she was. She came from the streets. She was my best friend in the world and a big part of me died right along with her. So THIS SONG is hers..... I fell in love with a 4 legged creature and I will never get over losing her..ever. I will die with a broken heart..I lost my best friend.

It took me about 6 months before i finally accepted her. she was everything i hated in a dog. she's much better but nothing even close to being like my Diamond. I think of my BFF every single day and its been over a yr now. Still feels like it all just happened yesterday. I had to file a complaint against my former vet.. he contributed to her death. So am very angry..and that will never go away either. in fact one of my other dogs got very sick after Diamond passed away..and here it is....over 9 months and we JUST got a diagnosis...and 5 vets later. The exact same thing with Diamond..got sick..sick for 9 months and 5 vets later..no diagnosis..only infection. Every vet kept saying cancer yet multiple repeated tests found nothing. it was an unknown infection in her body. my dog now...high blood pressure. Not one vet till this last one checked her blood pressure. and it was connected to her disease. Stupid vets. i now hate drs for what they have done.

We have gone to countless NB concerts and had a life full of adventure, only to hope it confines the same. I look back on this song with so much warmth.

My life is a pretty sad place, first my girlfriend that I've known since I was 6 passed away of cancer, then my 2 favorite dogs and cat die on the same year, my parents are getting a divorce and my sister is going to college, all my friends are moving from my neighborhood and school leaving me here all alone, but this song gives me hope that things will get better and I will find someone new, so those who think on committing suicide just look at how my life is. I'm still going and that won't change
