I always love how Chris has always something to reference about Vince and/or WWE. Its obvious he has learned a lot from Vince and respects the old man regardless of the latter issues in creative or what not, and the said personal scandals of Vince.
Even Chris knows by heart deep down, he is STILL and will always be a WWE guy. Someone like him and his veteran knowledge is exactly what AEW needs to prevent falling from grace completely. There are a lot of things needed to be fixed in AEW.

@@vainalba226 Jericho had success in multiple promotions, not just WWE, most notably WCW which is where he made a name for himself to the point that Vince brought him in and put him in a prominent role right away.
Jericho has not had a good run in AEW, but who has there? The booking is atrocious.

Chris Jericho is well versed and experienced in these turmoils from WWE WCW ECW so I'm sure he was expecting it to eventually happen in aew too. Now I am certain he's on angry at CM Punk for airing his grievances like that but I'm sure he's also angry at the elite for poking the bear knowing CM Punk is volatile like nitroglycerin. Powerful loud exciting but dangerous and unpredictable unless handled with care. Some may be more guilty than others but not one of them is innocent and hopefully since they all dropped the ball seeing Chris Jericho can pick up with some help of the others veterans and push through these hard times for aew in a leadership role

The thing I notice with Jericho is how professional he was during the media event versus CM Punk. He articulates his points without taking shots at people or airing dirty laundry in public. Jericho is actually a positive asset for AEW where Punk has been mostly negative. Still can't believe CM Punk essentially told Tony Khan he was running the business and not him. That's why you can't give one star too much power or creative control. Because then you have a WCW 2.0 where the inmates are running the asylum. And that leads to nothing good.

From what Jericho said.. it’s clear to see why having a Vince McMahon/Triple H is important to have to be successful… at the end of the day.. everything has to go through THE BOSS & what THE BOSS says goes.. The rules are set in place. You do something, you have to answer to the boss.. TK had to do what he had to do in vacating the belts, suspending guys etc… but the only fault TK has here is not putting his foot down much earlier.
Feels like the inmates have been running the asylum which is very cool… until it’s not. The “EVPs” want things done their way, you can make the argument that Punk wants things done his way… it’s because they all want to be the man.. I get it! And that’s when the boss must step in and make the decision & everyone has to just deal with it, keep it professional & keep it moving. Not what has happened here unfortunately.
It’s a learning experience for everyone. TK is 3 years into this. Him and his company are learning. EVPs blamed Punk. Punk blamed EVPs. Tony put his foot down, stripped them of their belts, and suspended all of them. That’s a good step forward
@@Jase77 TK has experience with both NFL and English Football League. I understand that he was always a huge wrestling fan and wrestling has always been his first love but as soon as it became a business he needed to separate the fan from the boss.
@@Jase77 I agree almost completely. One thing though. The EVPs cant be acting like that with such a title. Not that Punk did no wrong but It paints a much worse image for the company when hearing that your EVP is behaving this way as opposed to just one of your employees.
it was toxic way before punk got in aew, if you didn't fall in line with the evp's and friends then they target you, look at the amount of talent that's been pushed and become popular, only to be buried.

I really hope all the young AEW talent take this opportunity to learn from the events of the last couple of weeks to grow and mature and mature and mature some more. Wisdom outweighs experience every single time. Experience is great and all, but without wisdom, experience is nothing. There are young talents that you can tell are mature and wise, but some of these cocky assholes need to get their shit together, and stop letting success go to their head.
It's sad. It's an ongoing theme where the newer gen doesn't think they need to learn from the previous generation. If you have any common sense.... I would assume one would think in their own wisdom:'I'm never done learning. I'll never be perfect but can always improve and be better! How if get there? Learning from others.'

100% The young aew talent are spoilt and don't realise what they have. Some of them are very lucky to be on tv, the only reason some of them were there is because omega and bucks were there friends and all the top talent in other companies were not available yet. The freedom they have in aew, if that talent were in WWE they'd cry. They wouldn't hack it. They'd realise how good they have it in aew. I wish Kahn would let Paul white and mark Henry help with the locker room issues. Two of the nicest guys in the world. The problem is with CM Punk. He wanted special treatment for his problem. No employer has to accommodate him PERIOD. Going into business for yourself not just good in wrestling but in life is not good at all. However Tk should have stopped those media leaks about Cabana period. What AEW needs is a non wrestling EVP to handle things.
Smartest assessment of the situation so far, and man is social media rife with blaming Punk for everything.
Even if Punk is a jerk, the idea that EVPs would spread rumors about the company's world champ, and incite a backstage altercation isn't just some wrestlers being jackasses. Their actions have legal ramifications that can be brought against the company, like slandering and violently harassing its top-earning employee. Its very, very rich and lawyered up employee.
You can hate Punk all you want, but remove him and the jealousy, immaturity, and company-damaging behavior doesn't go away the next time someone upsets them. TK needs to wrangle those egos and dump the EVP positions.

Jericho and Triple H have never really gotten along, its alwyas been a personality clash. HHH and DX tried to bury Jericho when he first came here because of the whole ordeal with Chyna. Jwericho also left WWE because of Triple H 16 years later when Triple H would not let NXT on the jericho cruise. Thats what pushed him towards Jericho vs Omega which was the first trigger in creating an AEW
