@GeorgeDEFINED Great, well-detailed review on the ADDAX-18! We loved that you enjoyed the top storage pocket for your EDC, suspended laptop sleeve, and interior loop surfaces for customizing with hook & loop pockets/pouches. We also thank you for your constructive comments on where ADDAX's design can be improved and we'll be working on them going forward. George, your opinions and knowledgeable experience are sincerely valued by the Vanquest Team, keep up the great work! 👍-Alex @ Vanquest
@vanquestgear totally agree with George here on the cons. The front pocket just needs a side zip (and I'm going to mod that in myself) but the back panel makes me regret buying the bag - hot, sweaty and irritating when worn for periods longer than 10 mins. Recently flew with this bag, ideal in nearly all areas bar the backpanel, stood in security line for 30 mins and the backpanel just traps heat...ended up a sweaty mesh. A simple EVA ridged panel would solve that..
I’ve used the Addax 25 as a diaper bag for the last 3 years. Great bag, but that bottom front pocket not opening more is a pain. Also not the biggest fan of the interior water bottle pockets, would love to see them moved to the outside. Great video George!
I still like my 5.11 CVRT. The shoulder strap issue on a bigger guy just means you should have gotten the 25 instead of the 18. A small bag on a big guy is going to look just as funny as the 6' 4" guy 320lbs getting out of a Smart 4Two and the petite 5' 2" lady getting out of a monster truck.
Love that you commented on the material. I am torn on the MCB or the all black Addax-25. The all black to me has always looked too shiny. If they calmed that down a bit, maybe that will work. Wish they just did a 500d or 1000d black version. The multicam is sweet though
Hey George, loved the video! I was wondering what your opinion on the Evergoods CTB26 is, would love to see your take on it! Many people say it's a little big for EDC, but I'm quite tall and you liked some bigger bags for EDC in the past too. I'm currently debating, if I should swap over from my Alpha One Niner Evade 1.5 Full, as it seems a little bigger than it and has orange high-vis interior in the new limited OD Green colorway.
They should get rid of just one of the water bottle openings and make a 75% clamshell/panel opening main compartment. That's how they do it on their Trident series on the main compartment and front pockets.
If I'm not mistaken, there is an option on the site to get it without the hook and loop field. The reason I didn't get the V1 25 liter is lack of hook and loop field. The reason I didn't get the V2 is the implementation of the hook and loop field. 😂😂😂 It's so clearly an afterthought and it just looks so bad. Like, extend it the whole width, or like you said, move it to one side and/or corner of the bag. As it is, it just looks like someome bought the V1 and slapped that on themselves without really thinking it through. I mean...what are those angles? Nothing will fit there so it just leaves a goofy a$$ look. I may feel a certain type of way. 😅 Also totally agree it should be clam shell. Water bottle pockets are so meh to me. Unless you carry two water bottles, the bag is gonna have horrible weight distribution with just one in a bag.
I agree about the implementation of the loop field. The logo is meh to me. They could have even just put a 3 x 2 patch there. I think ideally right at the mid top, but they might get accused of looking like goruck.
I have alot of vanquest bags and half of then had catastropic failure after about a year and a half startjng right after switching from 1000 F to weak 500D zipper fauilures and in my IBEX 35 the main zippers tore right throhght the 500D in big ways i have the Photos to prove it. My trident 32l all the zippers failed on me in 18 months! I have nit used the wardantys because if they are still making the mustake of using the weaker 500D the same thing will happen again xo $600.00 worth of back packs useless now
Hey George, I bought the Addax 25 last year after watching your review and it’s a great pack! Love The organization , high viz lining and comfortable carry straps. Im usually partial to a clam shell opening but pros make you forget about this short coming. I carry a laptop, tablet, ccw ( when doing off body carry )tech pouch, gym clothes and my edc items fit well into the built in organization. Love the Rolex Sub, btw…

Yo how is the manufacture’s comment not pinned
Is there any chance you guys are gonna do a 500d or even a 1000d black version? I’m not sure I’m on board with the semi shiny black
@@samleary2733 it’s been requested before and definitely an idea!
@@vanquestgear I feel like those would be a huge success

damn these are by far the best bagpack videos so far on the web! unmatched production quality and content!

Vanquest make really great gear. This is the first backpack I've seen of theirs.

I love the the blaze orange for visual purposes. They could go bright red or neon green. But not using light colors is a non starter for me.
I’m a big fan of the blaze orange. I’ve got a number of pouches and accessories in blaze orange. And those really stand out inside a black bag.
Great review. Do you feel that the V 25 would provide longer shoulder straps ?
George doesn’t sleep

With that laptop section it seems like it would be good both a laptop and larger iPad. Would this or a CPL24 be better for dual device carry?
George you should show off your CCW and holster combo on the channel!
Would be nice but that might make UA-cam shadowban the channel
Is it possible to fit MacBook Pro 16" there?I know the backpack can fit up to a 15'' laptop, but maybe someone tried to fit a bigger one?

It needs 3 rows of molle on the front of the bag
Unfortunately the lower front pocket is a deal breaker for me.
