Afonja shouldn't be glorified, his story should be wiped from Yoruba history, we dont like traitors.

Don't say what you don't know, the history you were told or watch on movies are fallacies cause there's a cover up of history in Yoruba land but if you want to hear the genuine story of Afonja go and search itan Yoruba page on FB and watch all the Afonja stories the historian (oluko agba) narated then you'll know he (Afonja) is a legend

I mean there's a lot of cover up and fallacies in Yoruba history but search for itan Yoruba on Facebook and you'll always get the real story of yorubas and their legend there

@Victoria Adeyemi He is from Oyo empire but fought against the same empire alongside a Fulani army, i mean, is that not what a traitor is?

You are acting like a child.. so what will you say about the 12 colonies that fought again England to free themselves from the English or Crown dominance. Today they added other colonies and they are now known as the United States of America. Grow up man.

@@ayokunleomowaiye5227 You’re a fool, Afonja and the Fulani army decimated Oyo empire and its colonies, did night time raids repeatedly for the slave trade, displaced million of Yoruba, which eventually led to the downfall of Oyo empire, did the revolting English(Americans) take it to that extent? They just wanted autonomy from the queen, not to destroy the British empire. It was nearly a good comparison but not quite the same.
