Husqvarna HC5 100 Mile Ride Review. It started off bad, but turned out great. HC5 Hard Cross

This is a quick review as I just logged my first 100 miles on this bike. One thing I did not really cover is battery range. Mainly because it varies so much. Depending on your abilities and the terrain you ride it can make a huge difference in the range you get. In general I would say that a pretty fast, aggressive rider, riding in mountainous terrain with a good amount of elevation is going to get between 30 and 40 miles out of a full charge, no problem. Riding on flatter terrain and more downhill could get you 40 to 50 miles from a full charge, no problem.
Outside of that three other very minor things:
1. The plastic valve stem caps break and fall off on day one. Being Presta valves, you need to have caps or risk loosing air, so plan on replacing these, which is cheap and easy and there are a lot of options.
2. The cover for the battery charging port is a really great design in concept, but the outer plastic cover does not close and seal well. Could be a problem, so just watch it. It needs to be magnetic or at least snap shut tightly and it does not.
3. Finally the front Husqvarna badge is cheap and just glued on. It will eventually come off. This needs a better design. Not good if it comes off and exposes the two vent holes behind it.
So that's it. I love riding this bike, and hoping to get many more miles out of it.
