In Michigan having a firearm inside the vehicle is considered concealed and you have to have a permit to carry concealed. The cops detained him because he didn't have a CPL, but a higher ranking cop told them to release him. Apparently the brother's CPL covers both firearms. It happened like a month ago. It wasn't an issue until a news station reported it and questioned why he was let go.
