My kids hated rails so we actually just got a twin size mattress by the time they were 8 months old and that was their bed. We wasted money on the crib 😂 plus the mattress made it easy as a breastfeeding mom.

I don't get what's so controversial about having a bed on the floor, literally the height is probably two to three inches and if they roll over they roll over on the floor and like the drop isn't so bad. I don't get it. I mean it personally wouldn't work for my baby cuz I quickly found out that he moves like freaking James Brown in his sleep so he would probably end up on the floor like 100% of the time so we have a crib.

Oh yes this please Nikki! I also have pain and it was hard moving to our futon (floor mattress japanese style) due to loud renovation near our master bedroom side of the house. Baby is still light-ish and young but I have pain from pre birth (hypermobile) and post birth (stitches etc)

Could you go into more detail about how you make your iced tea?? Every time I try to make iced tea it’s so weak! I’m sure it’s super simple but I’d love to hear about it.
I was actually never nervous to make chili from scratch because I’ve had so many different tasting chilis and usually like them but one thing I was nervous to make on my own, pies! My parents have a couple apple trees and growing up I helped my mom make pies by cleaning and chopping the apples. This year I actually took some home the last time I visited my parents and made an apple pie on my own! It was easier than I expected, for some reason I thought it would be difficult and overwhelming.

pretty sure the apple tree can stay outside!! many fruit trees actually need to spend a certain amount of time below freezing temps (called chill hours) in order to produce fruit!! 🍎 also floor bed is a great idea take it from someone who’s had their baby walk right off the bed before lmao
