She is very intense and intentional when she does duets, yet will always adjust herself to sing with her partner and not over them. It's an extraordinary skill, on top of all of her other extraordinary skills. Even when she looks straight into the camera we can feel the intensity of connection she puts out, across all the years and the camera in-between us and her. There really is no other word for her than Goddess.

Adagio is an italian word, that means "Slowly".
This is also used in music to define the pace of a music (a bit slow, between lento and andante) and also as a name of a piece of a sonata, concerto or symphony that is using that specific pace.
The music from this song of Lara Fabian is a pop translation of an italian classic piece called "Albinoni's Adagio". It was written in 1958 by Remo Giazotto who was an admirer of Albinoni, a musician from the 17th/18th century. He claimed it was from him and gave his music this name but there is consensus today that he most probably has composed it himself.
The classic music piece is globally famous and there were many different translations into different songs, with different music compositions, mostly operatic, and different lyrics (the band Renaissance, Daniele Licari, Sarah Brightman and Sissel Kyrkjebo for instance).
But the most famous version, by far, is Lara’s version:
it was translated into a pop song for her, she wrote lyrics in italian then co-wrote the english lyrics for it and is the original performer of these 2 versions.
She kept the title Adagio and wrote a story with a double meaning: a woman that is awaiting to find her love / an artist that is awaiting the god of inspiration.
This song has become a classic and has been covered by many : Shirley Bassey (!!), Dimash (Lara is his absolute idol and he covered several of her songs), Floor Jansen, Polina Gagarina, Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Julie Anne San Jose, Charice Penpengco, Giulia Falcone, Laura Bretan, Il Divo, Rimar, Vitas, Anastasia Luna, Evgenia Fanfara, , …
They made great covers but none of these match the amazing storytelling performance of Lara, or her ability to use vocal subtleties to be in sync with the music, exposed in her live from the concert From Lara with Love.
    ua-cam.com/video/bqoS-KOLV_4/v-deo.html
Her italian version is also amazing. A famous italian version:
    ua-cam.com/video/qf7xcMN-TYI/v-deo.html
Or you can check her recent excellent renditions:
    - in Zagreb, late april 2024 (italian) : ua-cam.com/video/06WOD2AxTTM/v-deo.htmlsi=pXrU2vQ1Lrca2PTs

I wish we could see reactions to this and since it's in english, most people also understand it, but of course it's a little long with almost two hours.

Lara keeps her stunning voice like when she was younger, well, she is still so young that we'll enjoy her for a long time 👍. It's noticed that she continues training. At the same concert they also performed "Caruso", equally amazing. Thanks Rocky for your analysis and heartfelt reaction, as always. Have a fab weekend 👏👋. I agree with your assessment of this performance. Lara begins with her usual strength and power and they did look at one another very intently. Hauser seemed to look at her in a way that seemed he was the main attraction and Lara was lucky to be singing with him. She brought the beauty and greatness.

To me, trying to understand the quality of her placement, I could only come up with this analogy; it's like a massive pipe organ playing in a cathedral & when the doors are thrown open, the sound just pours out, rolling in waves down the steps.

👉In this song, adagio roughly means: If it is to be, then it will be.
'Adagio in g minor' - today, known as one of the most popular compositions of classical music; composed of alleged fragments of Tomaso Albinoni's; in 1958, joined together by Remo Giazotto (* 4. Sept. 1910; † 26. Aug. 1998 - Italian musicologist, music critic, and composer).
Camilo Sesto wrote 1985 the original lyrics in Spanish to this piece. Lara Fabian wrote the lyrics in Italian and English. Composers Rick Allison, Dave Pickell and Lara Fabian arranged the piece into a pop song. Since then, this song has been part of Lara Fabian's repertoire.

Hi Orsi, this is the third time I've watched you. The first time with your very moving reaction with Lara, the second time with Richard and Johnny to comment on Dimash and this last time again with Lara. You really give the impression of having a lot of respect for Lara, you almost forget to talk about vocal technique when you react to her. I'm curious if you get a chance to talk to the Throga about Lara? In any case you really convey a lot of emotion when you react to your “favorite” singers. I sincerely hope that you will come back to Lara again. Thank you for this nice reaction!

Hauser is also very flirting musician. But on the other side I don't see him unreal in his feelings (you should watch his earlier takes) - maybe just too opened. He was very shy boy at the begining but when he became famous he let out his feelings (that is part of his native character). His musicality is undeniable. But she is truly queen of the interpretatin. Godess as you said.

No, I can't agree. He sang that song to try to win a very important moment in his life. He had to give it his all, and he did. He was 22 years old, not mature and vastly experienced like Lara. Don't rubbish people if possible. We are all trying.......
