- We are thrilled to introduce Uri Levine, a distinguished Israeli entrepreneur and author, renowned for his innovative contributions to the tech industry. Levine's entrepreneurial prowess has led to the creation of transformative applications like 'Waze', a widely used traffic and navigation app. With more than 1 billion users Waze's groundbreaking success led to its acquisition by Google in June 2013 for a stunning $1.1 billion ( the largest app adquisition on that date), marking a significant milestone in Levine's career. Levine's investment instincts are equally impressive, demonstrated by his early involvement as a board member and investor in 'Moovit', which was bought by Intel for approximately $1 billion in May 2020. Alongside his business ventures, Levine is also an established author. His book, 'Fall in Love with the Problem, Not the Solution- A handbook for Entrepreneurs', published on January 17, 2023, offers profound insights into his unique approach to entrepreneurship.

That's a fantastic discussion, falling in love with the problem and keeping the problem as the north star is a powerful idea . It's all about creating value and the easiest way to do that is solving a problem

hey did you guys give the last book away ? I would love to read this Book!
No puedo creer cuántos consejos prácticos había en esta entrevista. 👏
Las ideas sobre cómo escalar un producto global como Waze son simplemente espectaculares.
Wow Great Interview! if you send me book, please choose the one written in English please ))))
Obviously don’t be afraid to fail is the underlying message but I couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable with having to fire someone after asking yourself that question whether knowing what you know and if you could go back a month ago when you hired said person would you hire this person. Made me realize if I want to be an entrepreneur I really have to find a way to become comfortable with making these decisions and acting on them. Would’ve saved me a lot of grief.
Uri shares a lot of great value in this interview but it’s despite of, not because of, the interviewer. The questions are poorly thought out, have absolutely no flow, and multiple times Uri takes over the interview (for the benefit of the interview). For example question 1 how did you start Waze, question 2 tell us about the sale…. No digging in to the actual building of the company whatsoever.
