This week's video with the song "Smoke on the Water" is the last track on our new DVD "Finstad & Golten Live". I was in my youth a big fan of British Rock's greatest band "Deep Purple" and must have sung this song probably over a thousand times. The song is taken from the album "Machine Head" in 1972 and has a rather unique history behind. The guitar riff by Ritchie Blackmore on a Fender Stratocaster is ranked at number 4 in Total Guitar magazine's Greatest Guitar Riffs Ever. And Jon Lord made organ history when he took the Hammond C3 church organ model and connected it to a small 50w Marshall amplifier. That's when I decided to buy me an organ and start a band.
