I use my sock ruler on all my socks. I go to within 2inches then start my decrease I have been using mine for several years and none of my family has complained about my socks. Love mine

My foot measures 10”. I use 2” for heel and 2” for toe. I use 10% negative ease, so I knit 5” for my foot.

My sock ruler only goes to 9 3/4 my husband wears a size 12.5 to 13 shoe and rulers don't measure long enough so how do I measure his sock size?

Hi Loyann- you might want to try tracing his foot on a piece of paper to measure the length of his foot, and a fabric tape measure to measure the circumference of the widest part of his foot. There might be charts online to help you decipher what size to then make.
