Waste Management: Heil 5000 Rear load Garbage Truck

- Here is a Waste Management Freightliner M2 Heil 5000 rear loader collecting residential garbage on a hot day in July. Believe it or not this is an ex Premier Rental's truck. I believe this is the same Premier truck I filmed last time, except with a new paint job. I am pretty impressed with the Heil 5000, the packer cycle in pretty fast and the hopper in very deep. Paired up with a great set of tippers this is a pretty good truck. I hope you guys enjoy!

The truck is specced just right for semi-auto, as you said in the description. But the hopper needs some grease! they're gonna wear out the components quick with all that screeching and tension during the pack cycles.
trashmonster26 It sure does, unfortunately my local WM yard doesn't take super good care of their trucks so i'm not sure how soon that will be😕. Thanks for the comment!

David Schieler No company has a yard waste program anywhere near me. Everything goes to the landfill. Im not sure why, but just about every company near me picks up cardboard with the trash. Thanks for the comment!
Not sure what does recycle near you, but I know that in a lot of places the recycle trucks have smaller hoppers (think ASL/MSL) so they take cardboard as trash to save the recycle guy the hassle
trashmonster26 I believe that is exactly why they do it. I know for certain that the recycle truck for this route is a McNeilus Msl. I believe its just for efficiency. Thanks for the input🙂

they are doubble sidding automatic 12 points =termination...also getting on and off truck while its moving=6 points

Trevor Reed I am not sure, we don’t have rear load dumpsters here so they might have taken them off to get them out of the way.
Garbage industry productions I can't believe they would take those attributes off this truck. This was a beautiful truck that came from premier and the over head winch and the can locks were part of the beauty of this truck and separated it from other rear loaders
jacita durant It Does make it more unique than others. But waste management doesn’t have rear load dumpsters near me, so having a winch on the truck didn’t really serve a purpose.
