When I was 10 years old, I won a trip to Washington DC as a safety crossing guard. I am 73 now. I still remember standing on the steps of the Supreme Court feeling lost in the white of the stone that seemed glistening…I have never lost my inspiration of that moment. Now at 73, I wonder, where is that “shining city on the hill?” After a lifetime of respect and admiration, why, Supreme Court, have you forsaken us?

Trump's immunity argument is since he was once a prez, he has complete immunity from courts past or present. Dumb argument but it serves its purpose - delay.
It's a consideration because he's counting on SCOTUS to grant it and get him off the hook. More likely, the court will just stall and hold up all his cases until it's too late.
