Really enjoyed spending time with you this afternoon 😁. I started cross stitch back in the '80's, teaching myself through library books. When i found flosstube wow how the world of cross stitch had changed! When i was using two threads i found the loop start was a game changer too. I've tried frames two handed many times...its not for me. I'm back to being a monogamous stitcher at present. Lisa Powell, Butterfly lady. I bought the first one you stitched ,years ago but haven't stitched it. I'm too tight to pay for audio books, i ust listen to the ones available on UA-cam. When you say your getting ready to work for six weeks, what do you mean? Don't answer if you don't want to. Thanks for your video. Take care and stay safe🤗
I’m so glad you enjoyed the stitch and chat, oh yes even since 2015 cross stitch has changed so much the only sites for full coverage I found was heaven and earth designs there’s so many now, I’ve ended up using a nurge frame I alternate between 2 handed and single stitching 😊 I must admit I do look on UA-cam first before I use my credits and things I left audible as I found BookBeat they offered it me half price for 6 months so snatched their hand off haha 😆 I’m a live in carer so I work away 2 weeks at a time this is the longest I’ve fond since 2020 but this lady requires me alot less so not as physical as my usual jobs which meant I could only do 2 weeks 😊
Hi Tan, just wanted to let you know I really enjoyed your 1st Flosstube and your stitch along video. Always love to find a new Flosstuber, I don't have any friends or family that stitch so watching Flosstubes makes me feel connected to people similar to me. Happy stitching 😊❤
Hi Elizabeth! Thank you so much I’m so glad you enjoyed them both that really makes my day! 😁 can’t beat hanging out with people who have the same love for stitching eh 🥰 none of my immediate friends of family stitch either, I’ve made loads of new friends via retreats and online who stitch and it’s amazing! 😁
@The.monogamous_cross.stitcher Hi Tan, thank you for taking the time to answer me. Yes it's a lovely community, and it's great when we can all share our love of stitching 😊
I rarely stitch two-handed but when I do, I find myself switching which hand is on top. I find both to be a bit uncomfortable. I think I most often keep my nondominant hand on top the longest since I can see what I am doing with the clumsy thing.
I’d never even heard of 2 handed stitching at all, when I taught myself from a kit I received in my teenage years I used one hand it took a lot of training to get used to 2 hands 😆
You know right hand Dom and on bottom. Do speak louder I had trouble hearing you. We can alway turn it down. I’m proud of you for doing this. Thinking I might also soonish. ❤ love hearing from you
I’ll speak my normal volume next time thank you for letting me know 😊 thank you my lovely, it was fun to do it’ll definitely be in the mix with my normal floss tubes 😁
I am right dominant and that is underneath guiding back to top, with left hand on top which is not my dominant as it is easier to guide to the back with that hand. Although, I had a left hand mother and do a lot the wrong way around. I am fairly monogamous with BAPs and some minis., but I seem biologically incapable of doing tent and stitch 25 count 1 over 1. I start and end threads on top with waste.

That’s what the majority are doing I’m obviously backwards 😁
Enjoyed your video. I also do the loop start. When I stitch two handed my dominant hand is underneath. 🤗
Thank you so much Lucy 😊 I’m definitely in the minority with the dominant hand on top 😁
Stitch faster lol
Haha I’m stitching as fast as I can 1100 sts is pretty good daily, I’m getting well past that at the minute 😁
@The.monogamous_cross.stitcher that's great you are getting closer to me and my stitching
I don’t know anyone who is as fast as you.
Me!
