8:00 The same musical scale is used to teach singing in pitch in English (Do-Re-Mi-Fa-So-La-Ti-Do) with each corresponding to a note (c-d-e-f-g-a-b-c). Surprised you haven't encountered this outside of Japan.
I have, I guess I wasn't clear....I have met competent adult piano players in Japan who don't have a clue as to how the C-D-E, etc system functions. Like the do-re-mi system seems to be default for instruction, or at least was at one point. I have no idea how a piano player then applies chords to this system lol.

There were some interesting things in this episode that stood out, the weird musical clocktower, foxes climbing trees, that wood sawing game and some small bits and pieces here and there.
What is that little thing crawling just beyond Scooty as you are talking about your packing and all in the parking lot, is it a little animation or a creature of sort? Added it for fun or what? :)

things are good at home! we have been doing some little enhancements here and there, we will make a video about them eventually. lately all i listen to is Fiona Apple's newest record. It's amazing. -E

Oh, I hope you don't start selling us stuff. I am so burned out from that. If I ever find a full time job again, I will support! I've done a small amount in the past, until Patreon stopped taking my card. All I needed to do was enter the new expiration date. Nothing else changed. Somehow, it became a giant issue and they never could figure it out. I was back and forth with them on email (I couldn't find a phone number) for weeks. Nobody could help me. I had no choice but to give up.

Maan, construction workers sure know where to eat well. Around here it's exactly the same story, good food and no receipts. And a word of appreciation to the way Japan always finds reasons to create little jingles to put even in the middle of nowhere.

It looks like you removed the factory backrest off Scooty. Does that impact the weatherproofing of the storage compartment?
it would, but i plugged it up with some rubber grommets and some really expensive waterproof tape. hasn't leaked yet haha.

There are Grey Foxes in the US that do climb trees. I had never seen one until I installed my security and wildlife cameras here in North Carolina. Apparently they are up in the trees during the day and roam around at night.
makes me concerned about an attack from above.

8:06 Do-Ré-Mi-Fa-Sol-La-Si-Do are the notes of the musical scale in French. I was about to write their correspondence in English, but I see @simonwhitten338 already did!
how does a piano player discuss a chord with that system? like a D-flat or an augmented fifth or something?
@@kydeanderic Although I love listening to music, I know next to nothing about music theory, but here I go: Sharp and flat are "dièse" (#) and "bémol" (b). So a D-Flat would be a "Ré-bémol".
Now, not knowing what an "augmented fifth" is, it's going to be pretty hard for me to translate and explain. Given that fifth implies five, I guess the equivalent is the "quinte". From a few videos result I found, apparently there is a cycle of quintes/fifths on the 12 degrees of the chromatic scale. I don't know if this makes any sense 🤔
