Good job you two. I like the start to clean up process. I haven’t had ours for l9ng but if I ever notice the orange on the edge of the plastic containers, depending how long and me remembering? Oh I like your bench seating around the deck too. Well, one of our dogs threw up clear stuff but still left a slight stain and there’s others around that could use the Cleaner - pet wash as well.
I love your videos! You and Mrs. VacLab are definitely awesome people! I just love the down-to-earth feel of your videos. It's like we are friends coming into your home so you can show us how these devices work! I am now subscribed!
@@VacLab You're so welcome! Also, what is your recommendation on a carpet cleaner? I am going insane over trying to pick one. I saw a Hoover Smart Essentials that is $188 at Walmart and it doesn't use a trigger. Then I'm wondering if the little Hoover Power dash that's going for $69 is worth the money. I am considering a couple of Bissells also.
@@VacLab I live in a 2 story apartment. The downstairs is entirely bare floor. The upstairs is where it is mostly carpet. The bedrooms and the small area in the middle as well as the stairs are all carpeted. I have rather high pile carpet. I have two pet cats as well too. I'm beginning to sneeze and such because I believe the cats' dander and other pollutants are building up in the carpet. I have multiple air purifiers and despite that there is an odor and I have noticed recently it is coming from the carpet. I currently own an older Hoover model, the FH51000RM and it still runs but I want something more modern. Also, I'm not sure how effective my FH51000RM is and whether it did well in cleaning tests.
@@stlouisramsfan03 to clean thick high pile carpet, you'll need a 5 Amp Sanitaire or a newer Kirby. Also make sure your furnace filter is rated at least Merv 7 if you have central air.
This machine works great! My recommendation is to first use the Dry only feature before running water. Suck up as much urine as possible, then run the machine as normal with water, only dry again, then use the machine with a solution.
I put the solution directly into the water tank depending on the amount of dirt and grime. I use my cleaner every few days at the very least so don't put in a lot of solution to avoid any build up...HINT: PUT THE WATER IN FIRST THEN THE SOLUTION. Also, my model I think is a newer model (and the model for PETS has a separate removable section on the wand - a "spot chaser" you can pretreat the area with). I use Hoover's Pet formulation w lavender scent, although I have used WM in the past. The hoover big jug ended up being less expensive. Both performed very well. My pet is nearly 15 yo black lab ALSO: I pick up A LOT of hair from him and visiting doggos. I put a screen in my utility sink to catch the hair dumped from the pick up tank so it doesn't clog my drains. You've probably seen the repair videos, so you can see what it does to a short 1+/- inch hose on the machine. Save yourself a plumbing bill. My older hoover carpet cleaner could not be cleaned as well as this. I had to use flexible rulers, or unscrew a lot of parts where these just pop off so if thiere is much more to cleaning the cleaner, it is because it CAN be cleaned/maintainer easier because of the ability and ease to pop off the rollers, tanks etc.
What I need is a video showing how to fix it when the Smart Wash doesn't spray water/cleaner from the hand held attachment that you connect on the front. My unit DID spray from the attachment the first time, but not after that. Hoover sent me a new one. Same thing. They sent me another unit. Same thing. I am now on my 4th unit, and cannot spray using the attachment. In order to do the stairs and cars, etc, I had to buy a sprayer and mix the solution in the sprayer. The attachment DOES suck up the water.
If that problem happens nearly all the time, there are pretty much only two solutions. You're not attaching the hose properly or, the entire unit needs to be replaced.
Dog *urine* & you’re emptying it in your *kitchen sink* ❓❓❓ 🤮 But seemed to work well. I *only* dump the tank in the toilet & wash parts out in the *laundry* tub..👍🏼
Does anyone know if Hoover makes carpet shampoos for this item instead of the regular solution for their cleaning machines ? Also, can other floor cleaning solutions be used with this machine?
When you said about having to go through the cleaning process of the machine yes I agree vacuum cleaners work better when they're clean too

My cat had a very liquidy barf one night and this cleaned it beautifully. Also has cleaned dried cat bar easily too.

@@stlouisramsfan03 what are your flooring type(s). How much carpet and how much bare floor?

This machine has a very nice sound to it. Doesn’t seem to loud and seems a lot quieter than the Steamvac
Yes, it is quieter and lighter.
@@VacLab I've had the Steamvacs and this is by far the best
Of course I’d pour the unused solution back in. Thumbs up to Mrs. Vac

Since she didn't soak the carpet, the urine was already dried, so wet pass first, rather than a dry pass first.
Great video Bill, dog urine is the worst.
Kiera weed in my so s bedroom last yr while we were out .
That was a nightmare on new carpet and underlay
Rosie is like ok I’m sorry lol
I like how she questioned him on the “we”.. did he even do any passes?

lets hope so if it doesn't work i recommand the bissell big green or the pro heat 2X revolution Pet Pro with the clean shot
Yup

Heavily diluted dog urine. And just imagine what normal people put down a kitchen sink. Smelly foods like liver scraps, onions peels, garlic, etc.
Do you not think they will clean their sink after? 🤦♀️

To be honest, cheap or dear, it's always waste not want not. And you get to buff your recycling cred!
Oops, re the saving of solution.
Mines has no suction
Won’t pick up anything my dirty water tank has nothing in it after using
Get it serviced or replaced.

There are infinite choices for cleaning solutions. Make your own. But keep the foaming down to a minimum.
What are the attachments for this machine?
