    To prevent a 2nd train from proceeding behind the 1st train too closely when traveling.

    I'm not sure about the red and green signals, I haven't been able to get directly at the signals when I was down there before, I'll see if I can get up there soon.

      Thank you! These are some of the strangest signals along the line.

    Does the traffic signals still work? And the crossing signals?

    • @freebrickproductions
      @freebrickproductions  3 роки тому +1

      Yes and yes. The traffic signals are used to let the train crews know the crossing signals are active.

    I like this crossing. If possible, in the future, if you get another video of this crossing activated, could you make a video from a perspective of the approaching train, showing the aspects on the traffic signals lit? This would be really cool.

      I have to agree. I would love to see how the traffic light lights up.

    Did you ever see the OLS on Friday? He met a BNSF coal drag at the space and rocket centre. I can't remember what the name of the siding was lol

      No and the siding's name is Elko. If it was last Friday, I was up in Tennessee.

      the train is not a car why would it need a traffic light xD

    • @freebrickproductions
      @freebrickproductions  6 років тому

      The signals are there to show the crew that the crossing is active.

    One time can you film the traffic lights instead?

    • @freebrickproductions
      @freebrickproductions  7 років тому +1

      Sure. I'm thinking of trying to chase the HMCR down the line and back up, just focusing on getting cool shots rather than crossings. If so, then I'll see about setting-up where you can see the signals.
