MASTERFUL! As always! Bravissima! If I am not mistaken Ms Freni is already in her SIXTIES here and listen to her masterful control of this beautiful instrument! Her piano singing is absolutely sublime and the forte crescendos are still incredible! Callas, did someone say? Who is that?!!!
I am hardly a critic. Just that I like Freni ... apart from her even-tone I like the way she manages to balance between vocal agility vs emotion, strength vs silky line and professional vs personal contributions to the art of singing and being.
Indeed brilliant, but Mirella is "only" 55 here (born 1935 and the performance is 1990), which is not exceptional regarding the age. The late Spanish soprano Pilar Lorengar sang this aria at the age of 63 still in full swing!
Nunca me ha gustado esta soprano, esta recogida como una de las grandes de su epoca pero no se por que no la prefiero a otras, tal vez me decanto por voces mas squilantes , no lo sé pero nunca ha llamado mi atencion.
Y a nosotros no nos importa un carago de lo que opinas ademas sin fundamentar nada. Probablemente te gusta algo que no és canto, pq lo squillo de mirella és bastante mejor de las demas, justamente pq és un soprano lírico puro como de Los Angeles o sayao. Igual no entiendes nada de voz.....
Y a ti te maltrataban de niño y lo siguen haciendo, no tengo q fundamentarte un huevo a ti , conozco de voces y de musica pero ese no es el punto, no me gusta la freni, te la regalo métela por .... todo tu.... ser.
