Whelp, I started with a Joe Rogan podcast about the rain forest and several hours later I am here following a man named Fawcett who I had scarcely heard of until tonight. I am content not that he found what he was looking for, but that in his footsteps we have. It might not be the exact pottery and carvings he was chasing, but the evidence of the rain forest's ancient civilizations is revealed proving that he was wasn't crazy and was onto something we are only just now starting to discover.
lots of these cities popping up in the jungle. I cant stand the fact that the majority of all archeologists always has said it is impossible that there have been cities in the amazon, due to low fertile soil etc. How wrong can you get without becoming totally irrelivant? They say the same thing about the sahara, even now. I doubt them.
When you realize how stupid they believe the whole population is and you have to agree with them. To say the soil is infertile in the jungle the biggest jungle on earth, A fucking rain forest, all I can do is sigh because they teach this stuff with arrogant smiles of being better than us.
Not a bad show. I suspect Fawcett and his sons were eaten by snakes, large snakes, or Jaguars or some such predator. The very reason that you and I are not down there right now.
More than likely a Jaguar. We get some huge snakes there but itd be incredibly dificult and fatal for the snake to attempt. It is also possible maybe they were attacked by a tribe and killed.
@@jeebusyaweirdo3733 I agree, it's totally possible that there could have been an isolated tribe, maybe even cannibals, that nobody has or ever will know about. Or they could have gone crazy from exposure and died, they could have been eaten by an animal, they could have drowned, theres no telling. The tribe thing seems the most plausible to me
The trail does end at a Tribe who once claimed to have clubbed him to death, but later claims that he actually walked into the forest and disappeared. I am apt to believe the older account, they are often closer to the truth when it comes down to word of mouth history.
Appreciate the hard work but I’m so disappointed to know that this is just one big unsuccessful effort.. but kudos for trying I still believe there is the lost city
There is. They've found it with Lidar now. Super interesting. The amazon was a garden, the soil is prooven to be man made. I find it fasinating, whichi is why I wanted to learn more about why there was thought to be a lost city before.
14:41 Oh... my... God... Scrumptious!

Doubt is not enough, you must strap on your boots and go prove it! Else wise their assumptions grow ever more factual as time passes.
Hancock says that they had a man made soil that would allow growing of crops.
@@tothewallhighlights4369 trying to act smart after watching joe rogan podcast haha

This is great on Bolivia & Brazil...

But they did find old structures in the amazonian rainforest after deforistations.
