Civil War reenactments always remind me of the old Civil war joke: "The Feds fight the Cornfeds." I don't blame the Park Service for not allowing a few dozen chunky middle aged guys dressed in pristine (but accurate!!) uniforms play army man on hallowed ground. Plus, IMO, if they're going to call what they do "reenactments" they ought to load those Springfields and Enfields and have at it.
