Otherwise, Huawei (or whoever) would just give out phones after the embargo and then it would be a race which channel puts the video out first. It would then be later for us and probably lead to lower quality.

Obviously different release dates but away from Samsung/Amazon et al, you could pickup either S10/+ for a lot less than the P30 Pro. It'll be interesting to see whether they've been aggressive enough in terms of pricing given the little difference between the S10 and S10+.

apparently the 1x sensor is good enough, and on video mode, you won't be getting the jittery transition that normal phones get when changing from 1x to 2x
I often wonder, with all of these advancements in the smartphone industry's cameras, would these technical advances hurt the professional photography industry?!?!

Now, I don't think I'm having difficulties understanding the English language (and/or British dialects), but for me, I feel Vlad is a bit too fast and not clear in his speech, making it hard for me to understand what he's saying sometimes. When the subtitles also contain transcription mistakes, there can be some misunderstandings of what is actually said. I just wanted to make a heads-up and a tiny plea/wish for presenters to be as clear as possible when presenting in videos. Is the AF less jerky in zoomed in aperture mode on the P30 Pro? On the P20 Pro it's unusable. Also, does it still over-sharpen pics after it takes them?
How ist the Displayresolution compared to the Mate 20 Pro, is the a difference. Can you see dots or is it clear view how at mate 20 pro. This is my main point. I do not want to see the pixels :D
Imo anything without a curved screen looks cheap, I picked up a friend's iPhoneX and all I could do was stare at how thick the side bezels seemed. I'm coming from a s9+.
@@rrrr2150 no doubt and I see their thought process but I doubt they will have actually used a curved edged phone it really isn't an issue in use it just makes it marginally more fragile, but even then a plastic phone would be a much better option than the almost universally used glass.
I don't like that the P30 Pro is the real Flagship while the normal P30 is the speced down version but they still marketing the P30 Pro as the "Pro" device. It should rather be P30 and a P30r/P30e version so it is clear that the P30 ist the best phone. P30 has made way too much sacrifices.
Genuinely, why are camera bumps still around? Can't engineers and designers make the phone that extra 3-5mm thicker or set the camera mechanics further back in the phone itself?

Amazing phone and my first Huawei as I originally wanted the P20 Pro. Breathing Crystal finish is a beautiful colour and the camera is ace.
