Finding this sermon today came at a perfect time. I am a single mom who is fighting this battle with my 17 year old daughter who has been struggling these past few months. I do feel alone, discouraged and honestly terrified of losing her. I don’t know how to do this by myself and I’m afraid to get her psychotherapy for her issues because I’m afraid they’ll affirm her feelings and make things worse. Please flood heaven with your prayers and ask God to guard and protect her heart, body and mind and give me the courage, strength and words to lead and guide her. She has now claimed that her God and my God are different. I need Him to show up in a BIG way and remind her of who He is! ❤

I'm almost 70 years old. I've been married for almost 50 years to my one and only. We've raised two daughters. They are both very strong women. I am a very strong woman. Nothing wrong with that at all. It takes strong women to defeat this demonic infestation of our culture. My advice to younger women with daughters is the same as would be with sons. Mothers and fathers must never falter to get heeled in and ready daily to stand firm right alongside our God against any assault on His Word. And always remind that our God is the Creator whose son, Jesus Christ, was sacrificed so that we could be one with Him soon. Never be silent when a hymn is reworded to omit the name of Jesus, Savior. Go back to the original writer's lyrics and resend the original words to those who might not be aware of what has been done to that good and wholesome hymn. Never let scripture be tossed for a gentler idea of what someone else calls their god. Speak truth at that and all other attempted substitutions for God's creation. This is our work and our reward. It is hard and takes tough love. But they come back around to the old faith and nestle themselves and their families back into the arms of safety from the evil that abides on this planet everywhere. Praise God, stronger is He that is in us than he that is in the world. May Jesus come for us soon and may He protect our children, please God.

@@chadsilva6942 You might be confusing "direct" and "being specific" as legalistic. Having doctrine isn't being legalistic or like a pharisee. The Pharisee's fault was adding more and more rules on top of God's law and called those rules moral and of-God. Like if the law of Moses said that one shouldn't touch the equivalent to roadkill the pharisee would say if you see roadkill ahead you must stop and take a different road to avoid being unclean otherwise you've sinned. What Driscoll is talking about here is just standard doctrine. Body modification wasn't okay in the OT and such cultural trends were punished by God. Driscoll saying that God is right isn't being a Pharisee. It's also possible that his personality just won't mesh with yours, but if that's the case it's important to recognize that THAT'S the issue. Francis Chan has never been one that I can get along with, but I've never had a problem with his teachings. He's always done his sincere best, and I admire that, but something about our personalities just won't mesh.

Do not believe those who try to tear down the Pastors who are getting the truth out. I had a young pastor awhile back, while churches were closed for the pandemic, I and our Landlord families did a Bible service at our Landlord's house! This new Pastor chewed me out when he heard about it and had 7 sermons in a row on Sunday, about abomination in the church, meaning us! We all went to a better church family! Praise God for his guidance!!

Just discovered Pastor Mark Driscoll on UA-cam today. So glad that I found him. Love his powerful sermons. I subbed to this channel after watching just one and have been binge-watching his sermons today. I’m excited to watch this series on Elijah and hear him connect it to our current-day circumstances. Thank goodness SOMEONE in the church is FINALLY standing up and fighting back and encouraging us to FIGHT BACK against these demonic forces that are influencing our world at this time.

I grew up in one of the other Springfields of the USA, the Virgina DC suburb one where the mixing bowl for The Beltway exists. I haven't been to church in years but I live in the same county as this person and it's just 15 miles away or so from this person's church and I think I'm going to go in a few weeks or so. (I used to be atheist agnostic but finally accepted Christ in my life for once about 3 years ago)

I went to church for the first time in 30 years today and I was so bummed and disappointed I didn’t want to leave because I was still hoping something would happen. Then I watched this man preach and I’m finally getting what I was seeking. I sure hope this man is real because church was awful and I felt nothing but now I feel something thank you Mark. This sermon just showed up for me. I'm borderline in tears from this sermon because I was an Ahab. I cried out for God one night very recently because of mental issues reached an apex. He responded and recently compelled me to go to church and I was baptized that day and repented for turning from him. I pray that my story might touch someone who needs to hear Jesus absolutely LOVES you and wants to make you whole again.
The best sermon I've heard in five years! Never apologize for the passion in the fire that he's putting your belly to preach! We need to rise and stand up against this sinful generation and declare the righteousness of God and love! Speaking the truth in love! The church is a hospital not a place to condemn and we already know that! Preach the gospel with fire and anointing!
With all of what Mark says, we need to remember that we are not fighting people, but that it’s a spiritual warfare. Truth without grace is condemnation but grace without truth is compromise…

I have been called to bring peace to the victims of those that serve God by tearing down all men that don’t believe as I believe. This is counter to Vengeance is the Lords. Love your neighbor as yourself. And as Mark said, we are awaken to see the sin in our lives and the Goodness of the Father in the Work of Christ on the Cross.

Thank for this teaching. All these years I've been looking for what God Almighty wants to tell His people and have come up against many very weak ones. I've been a Christian since 1995 and God sent me to a few church's, as a new believer, that were lukewarm and some mired in deception.

@@chadsilva6942 speaking the truth is not acting like a pharisee. The Pharisees rejected Jesus. Driscoll preaches Jesus and speaks the truth and wisdom in our time.
@@chadsilva6942 You might be confusing "direct" and "being specific" as legalistic.
Having doctrine isn't being legalistic or like a pharisee. The Pharisee's fault was adding more and more rules on top of God's law and called those rules moral and of-God. Like if the law of Moses said that one shouldn't touch the equivalent to roadkill the pharisee would say if you see roadkill ahead you must stop and take a different road to avoid being unclean otherwise you've sinned.
What Driscoll is talking about here is just standard doctrine. Body modification wasn't okay in the OT and such cultural trends were punished by God. Driscoll saying that God is right isn't being a Pharisee.
It's also possible that his personality just won't mesh with yours, but if that's the case it's important to recognize that THAT'S the issue. Francis Chan has never been one that I can get along with, but I've never had a problem with his teachings. He's always done his sincere best, and I admire that, but something about our personalities just won't mesh.

Do not believe those who try to tear down the Pastors who are getting the truth out. Church's are not speaking out and that is the Pastors job to prepare us for the days, months and maybe years to come. You must read and understand the Bible in context the same with church services, podcasts whichever form you are watching.

I had a young pastor awhile back, while churches were closed for the pandemic, I and our Landlord families did a Bible service at our Landlord's house!
This new Pastor chewed me out when he heard about it and had 7 sermons in a row on Sunday, about abomination in the church, meaning us! We all went to a better church family! Praise God for his guidance!!
Why did he chew you out about having a Bible study with your landlord? What did he (the pastor) say was wrong with that? I’m confused by your comment.

My wife and I were in different fields than he was, didn't get along from the beginning we met, and I told him that! He just doesn't accept that!

I grew up in one of the other Springfields of the USA, the Virgina DC suburb one where the mixing bowl for The Beltway exists. I haven't been to church in years but I live in the same county as this person and it's just 15 miles away or so from this person's church and I think I'm going to go in a few weeks or so. (I used to be atheist agnostic but finally accepted Christ in my life for once about 3 years ago)

I went to church for the first time in 30 years today and I was so bummed and disappointed I didn’t want to leave because I was still hoping something would happen. Then I watched this man preach and I’m finally getting what I was seeking. I sure hope this man is real because church was awful and I felt nothing but now I feel something thank you Mark. This sermon just showed up for me. I'm borderline in tears from this sermon because I was an Ahab.
I cried out for God one night very recently because of mental issues reached an apex. He responded and recently compelled me to go to church and I was baptized that day and repented for turning from him.
I pray that my story might touch someone who needs to hear Jesus absolutely LOVES you and wants to make you whole again.

The best sermon I've heard in five years! Never apologize for the passion in the fire that he's putting your belly to preach! We need to rise and stand up against this sinful generation and declare the righteousness of God and love! Speaking the truth in love! The church is a hospital not a place to condemn and we already know that! Preach the gospel with fire and anointing!

With all of what Mark says, we need to remember that we are not fighting people, but that it’s a spiritual warfare. Truth without grace is condemnation but grace without truth is compromise…
@Smoky Quartz I think you missed the message. The people are not demons. People can be influenced by them though. And we most definitely are seeing the spirits of the age we are in. Maybe you disagree or don't follow Christianity and that's ok. You don't have to agree with this message either. I hope you find whatever it is you are looking for through this comment section.

To be Woke means… I’ve been awaken to see the sin of others and the goodness in myself. Awaken to the spirit of destruction of all images and likenesses to God. I have been called to bring peace to the victims of those that serve God by tearing down all men that don’t believe as I believe.
This is counter to Vengeance is the Lords. Love your neighbor as yourself. And as Mark said, we are awaken to see the sin in our lives and the Goodness of the Father in the Work of Christ on the Cross.
Wow! Way to go Pastor Mark!!! It is as if you read the book “Letter to the American Church”. This is EXACTLY the type of necessary sermon that the book talks about and that the majority of Pastors are ill-equipped or afraid to say. Thank for this teaching. All these years I've been looking for what God Almighty wants to tell His people and have come up against many very weak ones. I've been a Christian since 1995 and God sent me to a few church's, as a new believer, that were lukewarm and some mired in deception.

Confront him personally and if that can't be then be sure to take the log out of your own eye first. Unless you have special knowledge about him, is it not entirely possible that he has learned and repented from his past? If you believe in the same God then you would know He is a gracious God full of compassion for those who repent and turn to him. Unfortunately you sound like an angry individual and I hope you can move past thr hurt you have.
