I’m a small shop owner in small town Indiana. I like your videos and agree with most of what I see. You’ve actually pointed out some things I was doing wrong and have helped me run my shop more efficiently. I appreciate your honesty and courage to just come out and say what needs to be said

I didn't watch the video, but I did reply to someone's comment. I'm a tech so I'll naturally be biased towards techs. What I commented was basically, if you send all the service advisors home for a couple days, your business will still make money. If you send all your techs home for a couple days, your business will make PENNIES. Respect your techs and pay them WELL. Wasn't implying or saying that service advisors don't have value or a place in the industry, but the fact stated above remains the same. Don't take it personally, there's SOME good info in the groups, but a lot of it is, as you stated, a circle jerk of more than likely absentee shop owners who only care about the bottom dollar.

People are non self educated. They are quick to judge and emotional. I like your content. I was a mechanic years ago. I chose a different path. What you bring up, so many times, is why i quit the business. Don't get me wrong, i still have ALL my tools and gear. I just do work for myself and a few others, when i want to. You are the only tech/ person in the industry that i follow steadily.

Sadly, this is how the internet works, and especially social media. Instant gut reactions is all you get. People are bombarded with info, and rush to judgement without taking the time to watch videos, evaluate content, or engage with the argument, because there's always something else clamouring for their attention.
