What did you think of Tommy Jones’ performance?
Hall of fame performance for the newest hall of famer
Incredible Poise And Effort!
I think he just proved why he got inducted into the Hall of Fame. Just in case you forgot.
@Noogerveetz I think it's a standard extra $10,000 for a PBA bowler to bowl a 300 game on TV during the televised finals. So in addition to that he made by winning the tourney, he probably got an extra $10k. Well earned of course.
Great he put a good effort 😁
He's a great bowler and I think he'll always be remembered even after retirement as an absolute legend for the game
I was there! It was really exciting and my son got one of Tommy Jones bowling balls!!
Were they big?
did he place them on your chin after?
@@_gabe_2407 Just a normal size bowling ball
Never been much of a Tommy Jones enthusiast, but mad props to him for his HoF induction and perfection in the finals match!!!
That crowd was awesome. They made this telecast very energetic.
Granted, he struggled against Barnes, but that final match was surely a performance befitting a Hall of Famer.
Congratulations, Tommy Jones!
This is why bowling has always made good TV. The pros always manage to put up performances that are worth watching and talking about, whether you're a bowler or not. A man, inducted into the HOF the night before, wins the HOF classic, bowls 300 in the title game, to win his 20th title, to kick off the 2020 season...its been said enough before, but really, you can't script it any better.
It was great to see Osku again i wanted him to win but I am grateful I got to see him again I hope 2020 is he’s year and he makes lots of shows. GO Osku
My whole game is designed around Tommy from the first time I saw him bowl, my absolute fav!!!!
What's incredible with Tommy Jones did a perfect game using two different bowling balls
He got a good read on both lanes and he knows exactly what ball to use in which lane
Considering it was 2 completely different oil patterns
After going bowling for the first time a week ago I have a new appreciation for how good these guys are.
The strike in the 9th against Barnes was huge!
I learned more about Barnes from the first 3 minutes than I have in almost 20 years of watching him lol. Didnt know he could loft and didnt know he could pop pins out like at 2:58.
What an awesome guy! 👏
From the moment I found out TJ and I are in the same age group (Tommy being 5 months older than me), I gravitated towards watching his career closer.
Congratulations on title 20, Tommy Jones, and for capturing it in perfect fashion! Definitely a Hall of Fame worthy television appearance!
Congrats Tommy. 20 titles in 20 years in 2020. EPIC!! HOF'er!!
Hey, the numbers don't lie. 😂😂
Awesome performance from Tommy Jones. One of my favorites, for sure
Spectacular performance from that Final Match, would love to see ultra high speed shots (>100.0 MPH, >12,000 RPM) in the PBA Leagues.
I don't even think that's humanly possible
Put that Nintendo remote down, son. Come live with us in that new game, REALITY. It's not humanly possible to throw a 15-16 lb bowling ball anywhere close to the numbers you cited. The very best bowlers in the world can throw a ball 29 mph for a straight spare shot (Osku Palermaa does that) but on a ball with hook, the max speed is about 21 mph. the highest rev rate is about 550. You want >12,000 RPM, which is about 22 times as high. That's like saying Usaine Bolt can run 28 MPH at a top sprint, but you're looking for 22 times that, or 616 MPH. Think about that, lol. People who could bowl the way you want? Superman, Thor, Captain Marvel, Hulk, and of course, Thanos. I hear Thanos is quite a bowler.
@AA Sharp No. NO HUMAN can generate those numbers, destroying their shoulders or not.
@@Ironfangzu These ultra high speed shots can be done in the PBA League, and those pins will get run over like roadkill, and explode like wood splinters when a 100.0 MPH, 12,000 RPM Ball gets thrown from a bowler, Pro or otherwise. Bowling Ball cores has two types: Asymmetrical and Symmetrical, for the inside of a Bowling Ball. Are you clarifying that all PBA pros use Asymmetrical Bowling Balls? If yes, then they must increase their swinging radius and throwing arm while standing from their assigned lanes in a frame that the player is up to bowl, from before the ball return, and throw all the way from the ball return spot.
it was his 2nd of the tournament aswell wasnt it? and congrats to Darren Tang on a great tournament, who also bowled 2 perfect games in the tournament within 7 games of each other
Yep, here's the first one:

Great job bowlers and great job Fox Sports. Production was perfect. Very enjoyable to watch. Great job.
My boy TJ is a beast. Much respect to all the other pros who bust their buts off day after day and do what they love and put all their hard work into the game/sport in which they love so much!!!! 💯💯💯
Can't write a better story. Bowling a 300 to win the HOF Classic the night after being inducted. Truly incredible!
The first time I ever tuned into a PBA tournament live, and I see a 300.
Safe to say I tuned in at the right time!
WinterofRWBYNation What’s even more incredible is that was the 27th televised 300
5:58 Oh, I didn't know the voice actor for Peter Griffin is so good at Bowling!
I consider Bob Beamon’s long jump at the 1968 Olympics to be the greatest single performance in all of sports. This isn’t far behind.
最高でした。
こんなにカッコいいボウラーは今後現れないだろうし
こんなにカッコいい41歳いないです。
WOW! That is all I have to say...WOW!
Congrats Tommy...that was awesome to watch live on tv. Great start to a new season :)
What oil pattern/patterns are they bowling on?
And that little popping noise when their thumb comes out 🤣🤣🤣
A 300 game in the title match. And he wins his 20th title in 2020. The script has written itself. And what a way for the hall of famer to cap off his weekend. Congrats Tommy well earned. Of course hats off to Darren as well who had a great week of bowling.
One day I saw PBA on NBC and was wondering if Fox still has rights and they still do. Haha. NBC still hasn't uploaded highlights though. Pfft
CONGRATS TJ !!!
Incredible
Nice to know I'm good friends with tommy and he's from my home bowling center 🤙🤙
He’s so humble !!
Brian Fong who do you think you are I AM
This commentary is the best
I have no idea why I watched this. Glad I did.
I can't believe Tommy Jones picks all that strikes in his 27th career, there's no way he does that 300 game i'm so sick. How did he do that? This is what Jason Belmonte and Chris Barns do when they all pick up a 300 game they never missed.
Tommy Jones won the weekend BIGTIME!
wow tommy! perfect!!
2:59 he picks up the split 4,7, and 10 pins How is that possible?
Barnes would have made the big four if the 6 pin was standing.
I think it's insane that this is the first event his Mom ever attended. Way to hit the glass ceiling son! Now she's just gonna be disappointed on future events. LOL
Barnes' 4-7-10 is still the most impressive part of this entire video.
#StrikeOutDiabetes
Love that wristband on Barnes!
멋지내요
Did Packy Hanrahan compete in this? not seeing his footage
We called him Mr 300 in the Weber Cup...he was always going to do it on TV
Difference between weber cup conditions compared to PBA patterns. Especially when he was shooting 300's at the weber cup back then.
Noah Hayes i believe they used the WTBA patterns back then. So not exactly as hard as PBA but still not simple by any means
@@viruz883 WTBA back then gave you about 4 boards typically unless it was 37 feet or less. Thats all they need lol
Noah Hayes lol
EPIC!!!
Wow, Gogo TJ
Am i the only one who thinks tommy looks like Mr Krupp from captain underpants..?
NICE GAME‼️
Who do you think you are? I am.
2:59 4-7-10 split conversion in conventional way
It was in an unconventional way. *
This is not Nam. This is bowling. There are rules.
Not exactly sure what your comment means, but Mr. Tang is a San Francisco, Bay Area Native.
@@mikethomas6633
This determines who enters the next round- robin, am I wrong?
@@mattmiles9779 what are you even talking about
Big Lebowski?
Why does Kimberley make a quick exit even when the interview isn't over yet
Could be so the camera could zoom in on Tommy or because it was a live show and they were pressed for time at the end. Just my 2 guesses.
P.S. I just read they were about 20 minutes over the allotted time.
That’s why he did it! Who do you think you are he is!
He’s a goat
#Legen...wait for it...dary!
I'm not impressed, anyone could do the same with visible oil patterns. He wouldn't last a day in a league back in the 1950s! At least he's a true "bowler" unlike the two-handed village clowns of today.
does a person only retire in the sense that they are done with travel? Bowling seems like the one sports a person could be pro for 60 years.
Bowling actually puts a lot of stress on the body. The older you get, the harder it is to throw it the same as you did when you were younger. The power is reduced and then the speed is as well. That's why it is so important to maintain a healthy lifestyle and stay in shape.
Get low and get on up!
What?
You cant help.beur feel bad for the newbie..sorry man. 300
Why does he keep hitting bottom of his shoe.....
Generally bowlers do it to pat some dust on it to help us slide, or he was removing dust
Munson
Boring. Kim Jong-Un did this on his first try.
Wow this is ridiculous. I bowl for the fun of it and I am better than these guys. These guys are called professionals. My brother 39 and myself 36 are actually better than these guys.
Oh really, why aren't you bowling on the Pro Tour then?
Do you bowl on professional sport shot oil patterns?
You and your brother are probably better at golf than the PGA guys who shoot 80 at Augusta because you both shot 75 at your local muni.
A 300 in house pattern is about a 179 on a PBA oil pattern.
no you aren't
