Gotta remember Seibold he was the gun coach went to the Broncos and now he's gone.
Craig Bellamy was an assistant once too...
@@vlt873 and walters was his assistant....
Pretty much stay at the panthers unless you come to the dogs.. is what Gus is saying under all this gibberish
As if any coach wants to go to either the Bulldogs, Tigers or Warriors.
All three have boards and organisations that need complete sweeping changes. No coach will succeed at them until that happens.
i agree, look at the broncos.. nothing changed til the board was cleaned up and CEO of storm came over and also the hiring of Ben Ikin.
And Titans
Pfft haha he’s now confirmed the bulldogs head coach
Look at us now mf
Gus is a smart man and he's absolutely right, stay with the Panthers mate you're doing a great job for the Panthers 💙
Gus has a lot of wisdom about the game
meanwhile Gus bulldogs are courting Ciraldo lol
@@jest3167 bammmmmmmmmmm
@@nahzewilliams5912 I knew something was up thought they'd wait until end of the season before announcing something tbh
Gus also said Cobbo was going to be exposed..
Is it me or does Gus sound salty. Cameron hasn't accepted any head coaching roles yet, but from the way Gus is talking and the tone, it seems like Cameron has already made up his mind and is intent on leaving Penrith.
He warned Trent Barret. Look what happened to him
Gus is always had the talk but he's right
Everything gus said was absolutely true
He wants ciraldo at doggies
Every club wants to play finals at a minimum. Unfortunately 8 teams will have to be out for finals, teams should aim for consistency and leave matches feeling like they put in all they could out there.
Gus salty cos he wants Cameron at the dogs
Lol
No
So did Cleary walk into a team Cameron built?
He’s only 37. He will take over after Ivans contract finishes. Or not.
@Neek Emik21 By a few years you mean dynastys.
Ciraldo might stay at panthers and be there new coach I think Ivan Cleary might retire depends on his health or blood clot
I'd hate for Cleary to have to leave because of health reasons, but imagine if that circumstance for Ciraldo if he can finish the year and win the comp, he'll have that on his resume, it's not easy for an assistant coach to take over a club after the head coach leaves.
Bellamy was an assistant coach and did all right . Brad Arthur, Maguire , Walters also . Gotta star somewhere Gus .
All gone quiet on Flanagan as the new bulldogs coach...it has to be Flanagan and Ennis as his assistant to take the bulldogs back to the top.
As long as Pascoe is the ceo and the board remains the same, Ciraldo is walking to his own demise if he takes the job. If I were him, I’d stay at Penrith until a better job presents itself like Craig Fitzgibbon has done. This is coming from a diehard, long time and loyal tigers man but I have to speak the truth even though it sucks.
He's coming to the warriors
Lmao
It could be, but you have to look at what he,s walking into it's not exactly a burning building , any halfway decent coach SHOULD be able to get success with the Bulldogs list next season
Better less money for a long time at the Panthers than risking your careeer with possibly just one year at the Tigers
It’s a five year contract. If they fire him after one year he gets the other four paid out.
Penrith are so good, other clubs want their assistants 🤣🤣
That’s what basically happens at every successful club
@1979RayDay you've certainly not broken new ground with that little "nugget". Happens in every sport
Welcome to the big boys panther fans
Roosters, storm ,broncos ,Raiders, knights and many other clubs have had this done for years.. it's what happens
Looking at it logically and based on these comments I can't help thinking Mick Potter is getting the Bulldogs job if he wants it..
I can tell you for a fact he doesn't want it. Potts has never wanted head coach role, is better as a development coach and doing wonderfully coaching the NSW Cup side, hence the call up to be interim coach. But he's got no intention of being head coach long term and Gus will already know who he wants if not still looking at who he wants to be head coach.
Gus doesn't advertise his roles because he's the most powerful individual underneath V'landys in our game, which means most times, when he calls, you answer, and when he asks, you say yes. Gus will anoint his chosen one once he's gotten his house in order. He made the mistake of letting Cleary go once he picked him because he hadn't quite got Penrith in order. Once the house was in order though and the board got Ivan back, the results have spoken for themselves.
The fact is, the clubs Gus has worked for (Roosters & Penrith) have become giants and have sustained success for many years, because Gus had implemented processes that work for each individual club and created values that breeds success, whilst investing money into areas of the club that both create value on all levels and also mirror the values he's instilling into the club. The Dogs will become giants once again, Gus just needs time to put things together.
The Tigers are coach career killers.
The win percentages speak for themselves. The media tend to sensationalise certain things at times but the coach has to be a strong personality to block it all out. By ye fruit you shall be judged, the coaches who've been let go need to sit on that for a while. Bellamy had his premierships stripped, 2 years later they win the competition. The top coaches gravitate upwards, sometimes they have rep players to turbo charge the premiership tilt but overall they own their results and it shows long term. Gus though has no business telling the public what Ciraldo should do.
He got asked what should ciraldo do. Is he meant to sit there and say nothing ? If so there is zero point in having him on the show.
Know it all Gus 🙄
A club can't just blame one person in the team, just blame the whole club if there not doing great, rugby league is a team sport and the clubs (Bulldogs or tigers etc) who arent doing great need a good kick up the backside and work together as a team.
Flanno head coach for Dogs surely. Ciraldo do not leave.
Gee, does the name Anthony Siebold ring a bell? Ciraldo stay where you are for a while longer. Tigers have got too many issues. Sorry, Tigers supporter but ....
no same thing happened with anthony seibold and look what happened. no way 5 years for rookie coach
well he shouldn't have left the Rabbitohs
Bulldogs 5 year deal.. he'd lucky to come out of that with a win % of 30% which could ruin his career.
And Gus has been seen taking him out for lunches all week🤦♂️...tryna do the throw offs
Gus didn't think it was a bad idea for him to leave Penrith wen he asked him to come to the bulldogs
How many coaches has could sacked in his “GM” role?
Gus is 100% right they try getting people sacked its gross.
Very interesting Gus’ view on assistant coaches becoming head coaches, when a certain Baz didn’t quite cut it - and he was an assistant coach himself before he was a Head Coach @ the Bulldogs. I still think that Barrett was the wrong choice for our Doggies.
He was a head coach at Manly before that
@@limpbrisket6851 And failed
mate he wasnt there when barrett joined the dogs he didint made that desicion
@@jacobmurphy423 and Gus issued the same warning to Barrett when he was first mentioned to coach the dogs.
@@jacobmurphy423 that’s precisely my point. I would argue, that I doubt that Gus really believed that Baz could do the job.
Tigers must be still paying 4 of their old coaches. Anyone with half a brain should steer away from that club
Gus told Trent not to go to doggies and ends up firing him when he gets there
Wait for the right job Cameron.
I’m with Gus on this one ☝️..
Let's get our house sorted at Belmore, then we look for a permanent head coach...Mick is doing okay for now...one step at a time..
Yep after the last game....he may be the man to be the full time coach
LOL they only beat Parra
🤣tell us another one Gus
Well then…
Well if he like a ginger ming, head to the Tigers, but not much else happening there. I guess the dead Xcross not to far.
he's just cut because Cameron will go to the tiges. UP THE TIGERS
Can someone please explain why Billy DISRESPECTED Josh Papalli in game 1. What a slap in the face he was having a blind-a in the first 15 min.
@Atlas He played only 15-20 minutes that game Idk if he disrespected him but yeah
It's all about strategy and being smart to utilising players to their full potential no disrespectful to Josh.
You name it he'll have an opinion on it,about time he had a facelift, his eyelids are like Gene Autrys' saddle bags.
want some more jabs boys
Gould your club no better!!!
Gus won👏👍
GUS PLEASE GO TO BED!
Does anyone else get annoyed at gus? If he knows whats best? let see him coach a nrl team now. Seat up in the box’s every game. Sick him acting like the nrl gods of gods. It’s a lot different now from his coaching days.
So filled by self interest
Ciraldo waiting for the Parra job
