Thank you, another great video. Most people don’t realize how expensive it is to ship a car and travel to Mexico for testing. Thank you for your sacrifice.
Really cool to see the before and after. Can't wait for video on removing sports fuse for the awd and the explanation on how that improved Dyno runs. Thanks!
Love the amazing simple boltons for stage 1 power! Cant wait to get my goodies for my B9 as well
Downpipe+E85 and stage 2 time!! 😮
Well this is honestly unrelated to this video but refers to the fuel testing you did and I wanted you, Adam to read it. I run a few custom tunes on my car. One of the tunes is a 12% ethanol blend on Chevron 94. Thanks to you I had the the courage to try Shell 93 and voila no knock and no timing retardation or blending. We in this community owe you big time for pushing Shell to devolop better quality fuel. It really has changed the landscape here. It really allows people to run 91 or 93 tunes right from the pump. Again thank you!!
You're very welcome! That's wicked! I'm glad you're getting the performance out of your vehicle that you hoped for.
Just got my B9 and love your videos! Curious what your thoughts are on upgrading the oil cooler. Looking forward to the next video!
Nice video. I’d love to see the Dyno test separating the turbo inlet pipe and the air intake. I’d be willing to bet that the turbo inlet pipe is making 9 of the 10 hp and the intake makes 1 hp. The air coming through any intake is more than the turbo can use. The inlet pipe is the biggest factor in the power gain. The stock intake with the turbo inlet will give just about 10 hp increase. Save the money and just buy the turbo inlet pipe. That’s what I’ve done with my Mark 7.5 Golf R…stock intake with K&N filter and the IE turbo inlet pipe. The IE intake is a beautiful piece of work but I’m guessing it’s only adding 5 to 10% of the gain. The inlet pipe is the key to the power.
Sadly, on this platform, you have that backwards. Others have done similar tests and have reported the opposite. The bulk of the gain on this platform is via the air intake upgrade. On the DAZA platform (and it looks like the Golf R platform according to you) the turbo inlet provides a much larger gain than the intake.
Just bought my 23’ S4 as my daily but now considering this intake lmao just for the heck of it
Pair these with an intercooler & a tune and you're bookin' ua-cam.com/video/dQf0t2_2rCw/v-deo.html
I never realized where the turbo was actually located on a B9 S4. Looks so easy to swap out.
So it shifted the torque band up a bit for next to no power gains 🤔
hey man i have the same car and im wondering if i should get the intercooler first or the intake combo like you did, any pointers why you picked intercooler first and not the intake?
The importance of keeping your intake air temps as low as possible provides more performance benefits and a healtier vehicle. One of the first bolt on parts I do on all of my builds always pertains to improving the cooling.
I am new to the s4 platform so I was wondering what is all needed for the IE stage 1
Well lucky for you that Integrated Engineering has a fantastic website that outlines that all for you: performancebyie.com/collections/ecu-software-tunes/products/ie-audi-3-0t-turbocharged-performance-ecu-tune-fits-2017-2020-b9-s4-s5
Awesome video ! However.. I just cannot ever buy a car without servicing it 😅 all filters and fluids no matter what use I have to the car 👌
I know most parts require a tune for full potential, but can I equip this and still see some gains ? I’m still under warranty
Would there be a bigger increase in a real world scenario where the car is moving and therefore has more air pushed into the intake? I can't tell if there is a fan in front of the dyno.
There is absolutely a bigger difference in the real world than simple dyno numbers. There is a large fan, but nothing that compares to fresh air flowing over the entire car. Stay tuned for my next videos where I tested this setup on the street and then on the track and achieved even better results.
Would you be willing to do a dyno test with Co-op E85? They sell it at 24795 Fraser Highway in Langley. I'd be really intrigued to see how it stacks up against Shell Nitro 93!
They don't sell E85. They sell FlexFuel which comes in at E63. The only true E85 is sold at Northside Petroleum in New West which is what I use in both of my cars. It wouldn't make any sense to compare those 2 fuels because you need to physically change the programming on your ECU in order to properly run ethanol in your vehicle. Or you'd need to use a vehicle that came with the capability to run FlexFuel from the factory and those are very limited.
So how much bhp/dollar for this mod? I'm.guessing all the pretty carbon fiber comes at a premium.
Will be interesting to see when you go for more advanced tunes, to do a comparison between stock filter/air box and aftermarket I'd the 10bhp difference increases or stays the same.
If I ever upgrade the turbo I'm willing to bet money it makes significantly more. As for the bhp/dollar I have no idea, sorry.
No matter who you try to silence for seeing the world differently than you doesn’t change that you only have an opinion. 🙌
Hope you feel better soon.
Are you going to make a similar video to what you did on Stage 1 w/ Stage 2? Would be cool to see a 0-60 1/4 video on pump gas and E85. When do you think IE will make tunes available for B9.5?
Absolutely! I will be going Stage 2 and then dialing it back to pump gas so you guys can see the results on the dyno and in the 1/4 mile. Sadly, I have no idea when the tunes will be ready for the B9.5, sorry.
@@VancityAudi another quick question how much weight reduction do you think your S4 has now with the wheels and brakes etc.
@@s5roze all the weights for my brakes are listed in this video: ua-cam.com/video/kzsrLUsWtjo/v-deo.html As for the wheels and tires I don't know exactly.
Got a b9.5 s5 looking to change my intake. Which IE inlet adapter should I get the TTE710/TTE810 hybrid,pure750 or the GTX35R? Or stick with the stock turbo?
The adapter only needs to be changed if you're upgrading your turbo. Whatever turbo you're running, you should have that adapter on the inlet.
@@VancityAudi oh I see , also another question if I don’t want to upgrade my turbo yet I just buy the intake for now right? Or should I also buy the upgraded turbo inlet
@Tangored5 absolutely pair the inlet with the intake right away to get the most benefit. It shouldn't be much more to order them as a package. Also make sure you use my promo code VANCITYAUDI at www.performancebyie.com/vancityaudi to save some money!
so does the “sport differential” system or setting make the car slower?
@@VancityAudi because you turned it off for “proper dynoing” so it would make me think it is interfering?
@andytran-ry7yc ohhhhhhh. That simply prevented it from putting down power properly on a dyno, not on the street. Once we put the car in dyno mode it put down the power properly. Sport differentials are a must for the best performance of your car.
@@VancityAudi oh i see. yeah that confused me lol. thank you for the clarification.
Nice video. How long did the install take?
They had it done in less than 90 minutes. The turbo inlet was a bit of a pain but they got it done.
@@VancityAudi I’m in the same boat and expected more. I wonder if an open air box will May more power. I’m sure it wouldn’t be much different. How’s the sound? Noticeable increase in turbo noise?
@@corycooper4955 an open box would more than likely make less power due to the nature of the air in the engine bay being much warmer than the air that gets funneled through the enclosed filter. Yes, there is more whoosing noise now.
@@VancityAudi on the dyno with fans it may see more air but in warmer weather on the streets I could definitely see that. At the end of the day an intake is going to do very little but helps as even more mods are added. Plus it looks good too! What’s the next hardware modification;)?
@@corycooper4955 ya, I don't care much about the performance on a dyno, haha. All I care about is performance on track and from the data I've seen an enclosed filter works better than a completely open one. As for the next mod, you'll have to stay tuned!
🇵🇰👍🏻
It does look really good but $1100.00 for 10 extra HP seems like a poor financial decision. Thanks for the video all the same.
Let's be real. Everything I do on this channel is a VERY poor financial decision 😉 Thanks for watching.
