I’m confused by your question. Whenever you use the program everything is a vector.

2:00, I can't, for the life of me, figure out how you dragged the image out.
I'm using the direct selection tool and it drags out the vectors and when I drop it, the image follows.
edit: nvm I forgot to undo group.
