FYI, Indonesia do not have dual National Program like u said, we only recognize Single Nationality, so you must choose to be Indonesian. And also, one for sure the player must have Half-blood from their parent or grand parent.
We have limited dual citizenship only for children from mix citizenship parents. This type of children allowed to have dual citizenship until 21 or 22.

As a half-Indonesian, I can 100% say that Indonesia don't have dual nationality program. I'm in the process of getting my Indonesian nationality, and to do that, I have to ditch my US citizenship. That's why I can say that the half blood Indonesian players or the other players that have been in Indonesia for more than 5 years, or married an Indonesian, that choose to be Indonesian citizen don't have dual nationality

I'm from Indonesia, and before 2015 we never had expectations of winning against teams outside Southeast Asia, everything changed after Shin Tae Yong came in and played a youth team at senior level. Since then we have won several times against teams ranked far above us.
Well we won against korea in 2013 (U19), or even Iran (U16).
Back in early 2000 in senior level, we won against bahrain, qatar, etc

We are strong always but lack of luck or mentality or unfair refereeing but if you some homework you can easily see that we are regular at youth level at finals or world championships but senior level we are just step away. I believe u did research on Iraq young players on European leagues (not top5 tho, including Ali Jassim), Uzbek has already 3 players in top 5 league (Shomurodov (captain) Cagliari loan from FC Rome, Serie a, Khusanov (only 20 yrs old) playing on RC Lens (Ligue A) not on the bench even playin in Champions league, etc., and Urinboyev (young man), Brentford (EPL) mostly playing on B team cuz still 17 yrs old.). Additionally, four u23 squad players are almost to be done contract with Serie A and La Liga teams coming summer (better to talk about them once the transfers done). I didn't talk about Fayzullaev (5 month consequetive best player of the month this progressing season only) even who is playing in Russian League as it is not top5 but still similar level to European leagues you said Iraqi youngsters playing for:)
This national team program is to push the standart of our local players. Our national team in the past was such a mess where many idiots can play if they pay the corrupt offical. As an Iraqi I have never seen iraq play so professionally the only flaw I saw in my team is that they were not prepared in a case of having a red card cause I think if you were trained enough you should be able to defend a bit better but I was able to feel how my team was breaking down

I wasn't too interested when the Indonesian national team used to play, because the game was just passing and running somewhere. now they play like a European team, and their stamina has really changed, previously players would get tired just playing the first 40 minutes.
