Not that I deserve a cookie or anything for this, but I just wanted to share that I am white/non-Spanish speaker and have no idea what Selena is saying is most of her Spanish but my god, HER MUSIC IS AMAZING! I can listen to all her songs all day long. There is something so captivating about the beats and the way she wraps her voice around them. Como La Flor and Amor Prohibido are my favorites. I wish she was still here and I could see her live in concert. I feel she would have brought many different cultures/races together the way only some artists can (Michael Jackson, Madonna, Etc.). It was the last day of school before spring break. The principal came over the intercom and made the announcement. It was like someone we all knew got hurt. Her father didn't want the doctors to give her the blood transfusion, but as her husband, Chris Perez was the one to make the decision, and they DID give her a blood transfusion. The damage, however, was too severe already and it didn't save her. But I agree, the whole idea that Jehovah's Witnesses don't believe in blood transfusions is fucking stupid. Religion is fucking stupid in general.

I actually know a woman who had twin girls, she couldn't breastfeed and the only formula that worked were made from pig enzymes/ pork, something like that. And the father didn't want them to drink it b/c they were Jewish. Thank God for the mom! The hospitals and court would have went against their wishes anyway. Practice your religion but when it comes to life/death situations do every and anything to save a persons life, plus ppl should be able to choose whether THEY want to put their faith before their life

Not that I deserve a cookie or anything for this, but I just wanted to share that I am white/non-Spanish speaker and have no idea what Selena is saying is most of her Spanish but my god, HER MUSIC IS AMAZING! I can listen to all her songs all day long. There is something so captivating about the beats and the way she wraps her voice around them. Como La Flor and Amor Prohibido are my favorites. I wish she was still here and I could see her live in concert. I feel she would have brought many different cultures/races together the way only some artists can (Michael Jackson, Madonna, Etc.). She was/is Iconic. I love you Selena! Thank you for gracing the earth with your talent and doing so with such class and charisma. Love, Taylor!
problem is, english people are close-minded and ignorant and they don't hear anything that isn't on their language, and that's stupid because you're limiting yourself and not hearing such awesome melodies from other countries.
thankfully there are many spanish songs among the most viewed videos on youtube (bailando its in the top 10 of most viewed videos, ay vamos, hasta el amanecer, propuesta indecente, etc) so hopefully english people can open their mind a little bit more.
