Bottles videos are cool and all but you make it so much better your quite funny and entertaining 😂
Thats some haircut you go there Ned 😂, The flask was well deserved mate.
16:39 I have thought the same once…..then later learned it was my foot prints…..lol
The flask was an amazing find. Great video Ned. Good being along for the adventure!👍🇬🇧
That was a (vicarious)blast ! Thanks Ned, We are dedicated Ned fans.
Hungry like the Wolf playing in background as Bottle Ned blowing up that raft.
Watching you blow this up got my subcribe. You work hard for the rush!😂
You put character into your vids, love the mini history clips, best bottle vids ever, keep up the good work and good luck.
Oh wow. How come I have only just discovered you and how do you manage to get away with all that cursing 🤣🤣🤣 Loved the video. Thank you for sharing.
Really enjoyed this video, the bottles and location.
Can you imagine having a clam rake out there? In my state, clam harvesters find dozens of old bottles in their scoops. SF bay must be loaded with historical bottles just waiting to be raked out of the silt. Also, thanks for the history lessons on the bottles - I appreciate it.
Awesome adventure Ned! You’re the best!!
Hell of a vid Ned! Really enjoyed and Congrats on the nice coffin flask!!! 👍👍👍👍👍
Nice trip! I may had used the UK mud shoes with ply-wood, Great finds!
Love this video! Ty I learned so much and you made it fun! New subscriber here! Ty😊
the history lessons throughout are amazing 👌
HAAA...Hey, you got little baby chickee hair.
yeah the radiated bots are almost blueish and is easy to tell. We use to all 3 big boys get in my 12' aluminum boat and fish around Alcatraz. My bro caught a bat ray too big to get in the boat. We tried to tow it in, but the wakes got so high we took on water and cut it loose....crazy days in the bay. Great video Ned! that flask was worth the trip✌👽
this is the best channel on youtube, hahahaha
Dude,,, those duck decoys can be worth a small fortune especially the 1930s/40s pieces!!
Yeah the plastic ones suck/ain’t worth squat. I just seen you throw that one aside and thought I’d say something in case it was an old one. I couldn’t tell but wouldn’t want you to miss out on a $600 decoy! Keep the vids coming bro/love your content with the mix of antics, banter, history lessons, humor, etc 👍
Yep. The old ones were hand carved. Some of them were carved by famous carver dudes in the duck hunting world and are highly sought after/can bring a nice chunk of change 😮
You definitely worked for those bottles! I really enjoyed this adventure, it is amazing what a person will go through to find a nice bottle. Your commentary and history lessons are top-notch! Just don't get your hair cut at those $15 barber shops, LOL!
A friend of mine used to take the bottles with him to work to turn them purple. He worked at a Nuclear Power plant. He would put the bottles in the rod pool. He said that they changed solid purple instantly. Some bottles turned oddball colors. I'm glad you found a couple items to save the day. Walking in that mud takes everything out of you!
Hello 👋 from New York I've always find Magnese. Glass at this dump's I dig i leave them out in the sun in the summer time and they turn really deep purple. But nothing like that deep purple bottle you showed from the desert that is beautiful. Thank you for bringing me along with you I can't wait to see what you find next😊
I love putting clears in the sun and watching them slowly turn purple…such prolonged excitement !
getchu a metal detector dawg, this place would have some good ole brass bits, coins, and jewwry
Bottle Ned,
Sweet video, I would've truly enjoyed that awesome adventure. When you look at a bottle that has been unnaturally radiated it gives off a dark blue tint too. My home has a lot of natural sun light many windows, plus I live in a higher elevation so my bottles get extremely purple, but you can definitely see the difference between the purple colors. Sorry I haven't responded like I should, but unfortunately I've been dealing with health issues. In California are there rivers that were close to towns that you could walk the rivers to look for antique bottles?. Take care Ned!!! I promise to get in touch with you. ✌
I hope you’re feeling better, Deb! Yes there are many rivers out west that ran near and through old towns - the trick is finding the parts of those rivers that havent been altered ie changed course & straightened. Or that have been lined w concrete ! Take care n talk soon
Ned youre the freakin best dude
The discovery of a PURPLE ANTIQUE BOTTLE, one of the great findings, friends.
Many of our everyday relics are great finds, if you have the imagination to appreciate them.
Purple bottles💜
Great adventure on the bay…good for the soul
Nice flask Ned, ya really earned that one!! 👍
Ned, at the 52:08 mark you came across a piece of a steamboat, what you see is the remains of the paddlewheel, or what we called a "Brush Pile" on the steamboats on the Mississippi, Ohio, Illinois Rivers, etc., you see the shaft, flanges and the crank. The pieces of lumber that are bolted to the steel flange is what are called "Arms" the bucket board was then bolted to the arms, using stirrup bolts, or better known as U bolts. Makes me wonder what other things are buried around it, that alone was one hell of a find.
NO KIDDING!!? Wow I will add that to my description & credit you !! Thanks for the info !!!
What’s the time signature in the vid where I found it? You cited the total length of the video. Was it the rusty thing on the shore right after the Taussig segment ?
Love my purple natural bottles don’t find many in the wild 😛 but iv got many out of farmers sheds lol they found em long ago 🎉
I saw a set of photos from a remote coach stop 🛑 from the 1800s late on private property in the outback of Australia 🇦🇺! Was literally two wind rows of discarded bottles ,was a sight to behold as a collector ❤
You might try a video editor that allows you to turn up the saturation so the purple and other colors stand out better. 😁👍
You need a machine air to blow your air boat. 😂🤦♀️
That was an awesome adventure good Job John! If I was to go and check this place out where is this location @ in The SF Bay Area? Roads, exits, city ect. Thanks and keep up the Antique Diggs.
That was an adventure
Probably should have turned the car key on for pump to work
The mud!!!!! Arrrrggghhh 😮
Ned with all those storms you had is it possible they washed gold out of the hills and into the streams?
Ned, your fucking hilarious nice finds dude.
I had a compressor like that'n bud. You're lucky. Mine exploded two of my vehicles electrical outlets. 300-400 each to replace.
The haircut is kinda rockabilly, rock it baybeee!
That duck decoy if wood could be big $$ open possibilities
the place you stuck the paddle in might have botts accumilated over the years !! get your scuba gear !!!
Need modifications to a childhood red Radio Flyer wagon. Leave the wheels ... and modify with some toboggan sleds (like amphibious planes and wheels) so that you can both travail the road, but also slide across the bay schmuck. Take off the handle and intall a waist-rope for pulling across schmuck and land. Be able to handle a ~goodly~ weight in the wagon (and some cooling material in keeping the bots cool and unbroken, while also hauling some nice cold brew. Forget the blow up raft.
if you put some styrofoam sheet under the wagon body - it will easily float up on the surface - and not sink.
Don't throw glass bottle, what if people want that glass bottle collection. 🙂
Get yourself a Dewalt cordless blower / works great filling up an air mattress
You can glue broken bottles. 😊
Time for a chocolate bar and a Rockstar to get back your zoomies
That's the thing about the Bay Area if the wind doesn't blow you the natives will
Need the camera work is so badd i was getting sea sick and turned it off, 1st time I have ever not watched one of your vids to the end
Yeah the movement didn’t seem to track well in this one. Different than the sustained layer shots. Like the camera pans too fast to capture things so there is a slight blur. I’m gonna have to try n pan slower until I can upgrade all my bott-recording systems
NED, this is the crustiest car I have ever witnessed! You might take a day off bottle hunting and clean your ride….
Ned, I always assumed those fake SCA botts were created in tanning beds?
Some of them. But the super intensely purple ones I’ve **heard**, are done by big industrial machines
That doll head looks like your haircut - spookyyyyyyyyy
Come over here - give me 50 cents and I can finish up that Marine Corps haricut for you.... looks almost like a Muppets Beaker haircut.
No not Beaker - you look like Jeff Dunham's puppet Peanut !!! ... and one wonders ... if Jeff didn't know your before he designed Peanut and his personality !
I know they purify water by UV rays , HMMM
I need the name of who in the hell cut your hair, something needs to be done so other non suspecting people just wanting a nice haircut are warned!!!!
Misfits !!!
Ned try use a piece garden hose and a rag on your car exhaust to fill the raft
Dude! Clean your car! Never saw such a gross ride! 😂😂😂
I do! But it just gets dirty again so dang fast...! Two wks after a full clean inside n out and it turns into a Bott-mobile once more...
Homeless people around the Bay walking in the schmuck in the day time and in the night time (night crawlers).
The Sierras Bros encountered a serial killer guy in the bay at night one time but scared him off bc there were so many of them coming out of the pickle weed...crazy story
@@BottleNed Come down to Don Edwards park and the Dumbarton Bridge, and look at all of the wooden log tipis that were set up by ???? and then you wonder what 2-legged night crawlers we have around here - and how many more keep wandering around the bay shores
Please stop making us look at that haircut.
You’re so gd obnoxious but I love your digs, just not the commentary……but get to posting more videos.
I love the Ideas of your videos but you need to edit out all the nonsense And stop moving the camera a 1000 miles a second makes people nauseous slow down edit out all the junk that you're not doing anything then but talking people don't have hours and hours to watch videos
You are trying too hard to be funny. It grows tiresome after a while. I dig for the bottles, not the humor. Either get a new writer or take up carpentry.
Too much cursing and not enough finding, for me. You do you and I'll just leave to cleaner pastures.... time to MOOOOOVE on. Take care
Heading out into a notoriously shark infested bay, in an inflatable raft with a hole in it, is another level of dedication. I salute you sir. 😱🫡🫡🫡
