Good recipe. I tend to go even lighter on my additions. I don't add onions or tomato sauce due to people not liking those flavors. After I brown the fideo, I add chicken broth, salt and pepper. Very simple. I put a lid on the pan and let it cook at medium for about 10 to 15 minutes depending on how much soup you want. I tend to like mine very dry and will usually let it cook for another 5 minutes without the lid to reduce the liquid even more. I also prefer the thinner fideo instead of the fatter one.
Water and chicken powder is basically chicken stock. Generally you'd mix boiling water and powder together in a bowl to make sure the broth (chicken flavor is just right) is ideal then pour it into the pan. Just a better method.
Looks great i want some

Great video!
If I don't have raw onion, will it still be the same with powdered onion!
Very informative video Eloise..you might want to try using chicken stock instead of water.

cada mexicano tiene esa cuchara azul. :)
How much chicken bullion and water?
No comino? Or garlic?
I hated Fideo as a kid. I barely started liking it a few years ago.
Yeah! Can't wait to try it!
EVERY TIME I COOK FIDEO ITS NASTY CLUMPY AND GOOEY. I CANT COOK IT
If you follow her video, you should be able to cook it. I make it just like this except I don't add the chicken powder because of the salt.
