What we really want isnt fresh, it's a new mmo with a world that feels like classic. New combat, graphics, and adventure made with the same love WoW was back in the day.
A guild I really want to see on a fresh server is one that only uses very alternative speccs to try and clear raid content. Feral druids and Prot Paladins as tanks, Shadowpriests and Boomkins as DPS. This would be a really cool challenge and would generate a lot of publicity and hype!
I just love have guild that plays all the game pvp raid and just having good o time hanging out like it was back than I miss this days I don’t want no life it I want just have fun after work
I just want a no world buffs allowed guild. Not sure if any of those exist, but it's just logical. Vanilla is already the easiest raiding by far of all the expansions, why on earth would you want to make it even easier?
It has been tried and simply isn’t possible. Paladins can’t taunt for example so the 70% of bosses that have a taunt mechanic, they literally can’t be used.
I was 14 when this game dropped. I didn't have a pc or internet. When I did get to play i was 17 and tbc was pretty much over. Now I'm 32 and I'll be here this time. I want to raid Karazan and black temple. I'm going slow. Reading quests and exploring properly. Enjoying the human interactions
Everything you've said is true, but there is another reason for me. I was still a kid and I couldn't afford to play retail, so I played on private servers. I started in late vanilla and soon TBC started. Throughout TBC I was still a noob that don't know what I'm doing. I was running around with random reputation gear, joining random pugs, all of which ended in disaster, but I was very active. I was approached by a random guy who noticed I have the spirit, but lack the knowledge and skill. He invited me to his guild and instantly assigned me as main tank of the guild and started teaching me. Back in the day the stigma that "paladins can't be tanks" was very much alive, and even tho I was a complete noob I wanted to prove it wrong. And that guy made it reality. During raids he was privately talking to me and telling me what to do. Every paladin drop was instantly given to me without even having to roll. He shaped me, molded me and trained me to become from a complete noob to one of the best tanks on the server and one of the first guilds to encounter Illidan. As a PALADIN main tank. He was the person who turned my dream into reality. But throughout all that time the fact that it all happened on a private server that was not properly scripted ate at me and made me doubt if I really was a great tank, or was it all an illusion. Now I want to prove it on an official TBC server, even tho I'm very much aware that I won't have the required time to achieve it, and maybe even get bored and abandon it after a couple months of playing
I already have displaying of Quest Targets disabled in Questie. Maybe I'll disable all Icons and use Questie just for the tracker. Maybe there's even another quest tracker addon. :-)
Great vid, I am taking my time, leveling multiple characters, playing early bracket BGs, and just having fun with friends this time around. It feels amazing. I would say that the original trilogy is the greatest combination of nostalgia and gameplay in any MMO. I can't wait for these characters to progress into TBC and (very likely) Lich King. Then, 3 years from now, I will look forward to doing it all again. This is the ultimate game loop for so many of us.
I started right before original TBC launched and hit 70 around when it was over. Basically solo leveled to 80 and then quit due to college. I completely missed 2019 Classic, tried a bit of SOD, and now switched factions and playing slow. Love logging just a couple hours a day to have fun. I missed 90% of the dungeons and did zero raids first time around. Idk if they exist but really hoping to join a guild at 60 that doesn’t care about parsing and just wants to clear the content
What the playerbase need is a game reasonably hard, where you have to use your brain a bit without needing a IQ of 120+, where you dont have to kill 3 mobs for your quest with PvP and Groupe content because that part killed the other game from Pearl Abyss. And with marvel inspired graphics, not from cheap comics like in Wow cataclysm
I agree 100%, i'm on the fresh hardcore classic server and im having a blast with my paladin, can't recapture the feelings of 16 years ago, but it's very close. I'm Danwood ingame
Vanilla start for me and even though I still play to this day (Mainly Classic as retail is a mess in my opinion), the first three expansions will always be the pinnacle.
im taking this time around as a chance to get my wife into the game together...we have been leveling together for a week now and just made it into Deadmines. let me tell you what this has been the most fun iv had in Azeroth sense i first stepped in to it in 2005 as a clueless 13 year old haha.
I always get so excited for classic until I get to about level 20 and get really fed up of the constant battle to complete quests as everyone else keeps beating you to mobs and there spawn rates are crap. Playing current and I’m at lvl 19 and the frustration is back so will probably quit again soon.
I started and made my account on the day of MoPs Release maintenance (so 12 years now), and i saw the bad ass looking dragon i would later know as Deathwing on the old Launcher to a Panda man.
The real reason is because there are a bunch of classic wow simps who are stuck in 2004 in a nostalgia bubble. Every time classic launches fresh they get all warm and cozy back inside their little bubble, unable to move on and except reality that nothing stays the same forever every beginning must have an end and you must enjoy things while they come along because they will never come back again not the same way sure you can play the game and reminisce and enjoy the things for a while but at the end of the day it will never be exactly the same as back in 2004. Unless you never played the game in the first place, nor any other MMORPG for that matter in which case it will be a completely fresh and new experience. However, you would have to play on a server where everyone else was in the same boat for it to be truly authentic. Also, you would have to have all websites with any information about the game blocked on your computer so that way you couldn’t access any information/spoilers. No add-ons nothing I really don’t need the sound harsh. I wish that the game could stay fresh and fun and excitingly knew forever, but that’s not reality. I had always hoped we would get a classic plus that would be an alternate timeline created in the same way the original classic was maybe a few quality of life features because not everyone has 8 to 10 hours a day to play on a video game. Also, they need to make all the classes viable. Not just warrior and mages. Also the Meta slaves that require everyone to get the world buffs just ruins it.
One of the things that put me off the fresh anniversary servers... a 2 year experience (2 years and 2 months to be exact) is being compressed into just 12 months before they will release TBC again. I just don't see this being fun, seeing how slow gearing can be. Add to that the final phase, Naxx, according to the roadmap, is going to be extremely short. It's just going to play into the minmax rush rush rush mentality and that's not what I want from Classic. Also not happy with the stance on GDKP. For many players with children and jobs, this is a good solution to still getting to do some raids and there were some very nice GDKP communities around in Classic (yes, also not so nice ones, every coin has 2 sides) and gave raiders a reason to rerun raids they no longer needed themselves. RMT is going to be a thing, with or without GDKP's.
It’s just how the classic community is for the most part, they beat up content creators and then get upset when the streamers stop playing classic and play something else and hurt the population numbers of the game with their massive army’s following them. It’s like a love/hate thing I’ve learned lol
Catering to ppl that rush through the game and complain that they have nothing to do is the biggest problem that retail fucked up. Those ppl should stfu and go Speedrun other games while normal players get to the point that they rushed to. It's their fault nobody cares about them that's what fucked up retail
Meh played vanilla twice not excited about it. It's the raiding for gear mainly that makes it not fun. The leveling environment is already toxic with griefers but we have layering to dodge a lot of that.
I can’t play classic for a 4th time. Sod was such a let down so they just revert back to “release it again we gotta catch Skyrim” lazy and it won’t have players
Me and my friends are playing this version because story writting ön retails is the wrost I seen in years... Just like in most games that came out this year
I don't understand the classic hype this time around. We all know where this leads, the issues with WoW Vanilla PVP, the end game, and how this story plays out. I would play a phased release "Fresh" TBC client where a lot of the balance issues were resolved and it still had that harder open world feel or another "SoD" attempt (once again, base it on TBC client.) Another Vanilla Fresh? Hard Pass....
In my opinion, it's definitely nostalgia and gatekeeping. After leaving WoW Classic and exploring multiple other MMOs, I think the entire idea behind spending your entire time playing one game fell-off especially nowadays where there's more variety not even in MMOs but in different game genres in general. Played through multiple honor grinds for the R13-R14 titles. Now it's all just hollow nostalgia pushed up by FOMO since every version of WoW is seasonal content that thrives off twitch streamers to keep servers populated. I still remember grinding solo in ghost-towns after streamers left for variety or there were new phases or expansions that were current content. I remember how lonely WoW Classic feels without players. How people begged for fresh servers just because solo-play was simply not fun. I now understand how dated Blizzard's streaming service model for WoW is and have moved on.
Why are you putting out the same video for the 4th time? On this channel, there are 4 videos with this thumbnail and all talk about the same stuff with almost the same shorts. WTF for me its no no
But when you Watch it one by one they are 80% repeat sorry. I know this is not the copy but its almost the copy with different wording. Anyway its yours decision
@ it’s all good brother, I just been enjoying hitting the nostalgia angle lately. But I think I’m at a point where I do need to find another direction, there’s just not much content to make on WoW classic currently and it’s the main reason I started the channel :/
Can we just get classic plus these fresh wow servers are dead boring, whats the point there is literally nothing to look forward to. I get to 60 and then what lol go do MC AGAIN????? Ill pass..... I rather get some new updates for SOD. Fresh is DEAD. Hype is gone!
Blizzard is too lazy for it, on top of that the community is way too divided on what Classic Plus should be. If we do get it, it probably won’t be for another 5+ years or when retail starts actually dying
BC sucks, everyone playing *current wow expansion* just wants what they dont have. It's pretty sad. The same people saying they are now in the TBC waiting room are the ones that didn't go to TBC when it relaunched 5 years ago. Go figure.
What we really want isnt fresh, it's a new mmo with a world that feels like classic. New combat, graphics, and adventure made with the same love WoW was back in the day.
yeah just new content with the same mechanics and worldbuilding
It's not just Nostalgia man. Many MMOs came out soon after WoW and couldn't capture the same experience. It's just THAT good and it still is.
A guild I really want to see on a fresh server is one that only uses very alternative speccs to try and clear raid content. Feral druids and Prot Paladins as tanks, Shadowpriests and Boomkins as DPS. This would be a really cool challenge and would generate a lot of publicity and hype!
If you suggest this in the actual game world, you will get constantly harassed, called an idiot, called a noob. Super fun game.

We’re doing that with our guild ‘no meta’ on eu pvp. Join us if your on the realm 🫡
-Mom can we have MadSeasonShow?
-We got MadSeasonShow at home.
Was thinking the Same. Bro just copy paste
Atleast he didn't try cringe humour aka madseason
I kept getting deja vu like I'd seen this exact video before. Shameless
"Don't optimized the game. Slow down and play casually" Also ... "Do you wanna optimize your leveling? Check out rested XP NOW!!!" .... 😑
I mean in 2019 was nostalgia but now its the best game out there classic will forever stay in my heart
idk seeing tyler1 playing wow classic for the first time shows time and time again that it has nothing to do with nostalgia
Is this a reupload? The start seems familiar

god i hope this is true

This time I’m going meme spec Prot Pally. Having a blast. Didn’t realize how great the Alliance has for leveling flow.
Prot pally is exceptional for leveling in hardcores, slow af, but the fun is prolonged :D
I already have displaying of Quest Targets disabled in Questie. Maybe I'll disable all Icons and use Questie just for the tracker. Maybe there's even another quest tracker addon. :-)
agree in 2019 I was in a speedruning guild, this time I want to go slow
Didn't think Moog City would pop up in a WoW Video, but it fits in really well.
Isnt this a repost? 😅 Or did you show on stream?

Excellent video, underrated
Well lets be honest the removal of Buff/debuff slots makes a lot of meme spec more viable + dual spec.
