- Konnichiwa, everyone!
It's been 2 weeks since my last upload so thank you so much for being so patient! As soon as we got back from this hike, we went straight to a trip around Japan so we have lots of videos coming up for you!
This video was a hard one to edit! I wanted to put SOOOO much in it since this is one of the most beautiful hikes I've ever done! Mt. Shirouma is STUNNING. I wouldn't recommend it for beginners but if you have climbed a few mountains before, please hike up this mountain!
Also, I am fully aware I look a little horrible in this video. Hahaha I didn't get enough sleep on the night bus plus I was sweating all over the place. But please don't let my face and sweat deter you from enjoying the views! Haha I hope you guys like it! I will be uploading day 2 in a few days!
Arigathankyouuu for watching! I really appreciate it!

I've been so looking forward to this video!
It took me a while haha but it’s finally out! Uploading Day 2 in a few days ❤️
Waaaah! Galing! Congratulations! So jealous… and happy for you. I can’t wait for the next episode. 😍😍😍😍
Awwww! Thank you! It was a really beautiful hike! ❤️ 15/10 in scenery! Haha I will upload day 2 soon!
The shots in this are absolutely beautiful 😍😍😍! Lovely job, Ateily!!
Awwww, yey! I'm glad you loved it, Sisily!
Gorgeous video, shots are touching and beautifully presented.
Thank you so so so much! It’s a stunning mountain so it wasn’t difficult to take gorgeous shots of it. I really appreciate you watching and commenting! ☺️
So timely! I’m going up this weekend!!
It’s going to be incredible!! Which mountain lodge were you able to book? :) if you’re going up the Tsugaike Pond Route, it’s loooong and the first few parts are going to be super rocky! I suggest bringing amino vital. Lol After the pond, it gets a lot easier!
😍😍😍
Bud oh em ang ganda nito!!!!
Yes bud! One of the best hikes I’ve been on! Any mountain in the northern alps of Japan is amazing!
OMG that is so high!!!😲 - frida
Yes, it was REALLY high! ❤️ it’s almost as high as Mt. Apo, the highest mountain in the Philippines!
This video was so good! I am looking at going in august and honestly my trip time is limited so I was hoping to try to summit in one day and head back down but after watching this I have realized i's probably better to just stay the night, get up see the summit and head back down haahha. Also how long did it take you to get to the top?
Thank you so much for watching! :) I think staying the night would be best! Haha nothing beats the sunrise from up there! I think it took us around 7 hours to get to the ridgeline!
Hello HaNa, I enjoyed both your videos on Mt. Shirouma, absolutely amazing hike and very well put together video.
I had few questions about the hike if you don't mind answering:
Which month did you do this hike?
Which is the best month to hike in Northern Alps in Japan with less crowd?
(I know July and August is the best month to hike, however we would like to avoid crowd, would last week of June be ok)
Hello Soniel! Thank you so much for watching both videos and giving me some love for it! :)
We climbed Shirouma August 5-6, 2022! It wasn't extremely busy during the hike. Best months to hike are May to June, although you may encounter snow early May, or around August to mid October. :) It depends on which mountain you want to climb. Did you have a mountain in mind?
@@whatchuHANAdo Thanks for replying immediately, appreciate it 🙏
You can use your climbing to take of your food fest or is it vice versa? 笑笑 It looks like you had another grand time...happy happy :)
Hahaha it's a cycle! Just doing my best to enjoy life! lol
@@whatchuHANAdo That's what counts! Enjoy life!
I loved all your videos ❤️. Planning on going to Japan next year. We wanna hike Mt Fuji and Mt Shirouma. Is it okay to send you a message prior to going there ? Or we may come and see you to get some ideas or info if that's okay .
Absolutely! Feel free to send me a private message on Instagram and I would be happy to answer all of your questions about it. ❤️ @whatchuhanado warning though…my IG is still extremely empty but I promise I will see if you message me! ☺️
Thank you ❤️.
Hike looks amazing, just wondering through which website did you book the Hut you stayed at? The food looks great.
Thank you, Luke! The hike really was amazing! Truly one of the best hikes I’ve ever done. :) You can try this website: yamagoya.hakubakousha.com/reservation/
The food was one of the best I’ve had in a mountain hut. Very flavorful! :)
@@whatchuHANAdo Perfect, thanks so much! I'm assuming it's the top green button to reserve: "白馬岳頂上宿舎予約"? On google translate it becomes "Mt. Hakumadake summit lodging reservation. But it looks like the right photo of the hut.
Hi its a great video! thanks for sharing it,
I plan to climb up there too, can I ask u how to get to Sarukura by public transportation ?
thanks
Hello! Thank you so much for watching the video! I’m happy you liked it! :)
We took an overnight bus from Tokyo to the trailhead! :) We left Tokyo at around 11:00PM. There are 2-3 rest stops along the way for bathroom breaks and food if you get hungry. You can also just stay in the bus to sleep. If I remember correctly, we got to the trailhead very early, before 6:00AM. :)
@@whatchuHANAdo thank you so much !
HI Thanks for the video. Im gonna go there on wednesday and staying in the same lodge as you. Wanna check with you do they provide futon and blankets? or should I bring sleeping bag? Thanks in advance!
Yes, the provide a futon, a blanket, and one pillow! But they did request us to bring a liner or inner sheets so that we don’t dirty the futons. :)
Also, thank you for watching the video! ❤️
@@whatchuHANAdo cool! i can save up some weight then and bring a thin liner! i watched the 2nd day video, might use the same route you guys used. thanks!!
@@zulfadlizainal_ Awesome! The route is suuuuuper long and the 1st part (from the trail head to Shirouma Oike) will be quite tiring, but after that, everything will be gentler and the views are stunning! Enjoy your hike, Zulfadli!
@@whatchuHANAdo ohh no had to cancel my plans.. just knew that there is no local transport on weekdays at this moment. and even ropeway not operating. First time for me to see this in japan. no luck. tq though.
The orange flower looks like the one from Demon Slayer. Minus the color
It actually does, doesn’t it? 😻 The one in the video is a Sierra Tiger Lily and the one in Demon Slayer is a Spider Lily! Same fam!
