The #nhlbruins celebrate James van Riemsdyk's 1,000 games in the NHL, Celine Dion reads the opening lineup, the team heads south for a road trip and more.
Welcome! During the off-season, go back and watch older interviews and highlights -the history of this team has everything to do with how it's run right now. That's the one good thing about the internet - we can go back and relive our Bobby Orr days! Especially when we tank in the playoffs - 1970 St Louis game, Mother's Day Stanley Cup championship is a good video to wash away current failure! I was a kid, one of the first things we saw on color TV was black and gold hockey. That magical Mother's Day of the Bobby Orr flying OT goal- The neighborhood exploded and we got to play street hockey on a school night! keep in mind - hockey was the working stiff sport - far less revenue than the three other professional sports by far. Nobody cared about us. We could watch games for nothing, they were truly blue collar fans. If you wanted to insult Gerry cheevers? You had to buy a ticket, show up, look him in the eye before you spit on him lol! Chances are he might just spit back! None of this insulting elite athletes from the dark corners of the internet. Go relive that 1979 Madison square Garden Bruins - Rangers game I'm not going to spoil it for you! Put "Mike milbury shoe" In your search bar - and enjoy! It's not about the headline, it's about deep team loyalty What these guys wouldn't do for each other. And that's why the style of play was so rough. Because their loyalties ran deep Hockey was the first place I heard teammates speaking two different languages in the 60s and by the early eighties - A team could have players speaking five different languages all on the same team Nobody cared where you came from, everybody bleeds red. Produce or get off the ice. Hockey isnt for everyone. It's for certain elite athletes around the world, who have a certain skill and talent that go far beyond their country flags or skin color And it's been proven to be the only sport like it of its kind. Some of those old fart interviews, will tell you about what actually happened behind the scenes - like players laughing at the fact that Jerry cheevers would dive behind other opponents and his own defenseman, instead of saving a puck if it didn't mean losing the game! I haven't seen it in a long time because it's not politically correct. Yet there was a locker room interview of cheevers sucking down a "root" beer while having a cigarette in between periods. Lol! But it's kind of good those highlights are a bit fuzzy because it really was a bloody game at times. I remember not being happy seeing Bob Orr with blood running down his face. So I'm glad it's been tempered a bit. One thing about my bears, I've only witnessed three cups in my lifetime, but they always give us a good ride! You might go back to look at seasons 1969-70 , when Bruins won the cup Then take a look at playoffs 1971 - new coach Tom Johnson came in to set the franchise record for most winning regular season. That's the record Bruins broke last year on the way to setting the NHL record Bruins were shoe in for the cup And we went down first round to none other than a team that barely squeaked into the playoffs - the Montreal canadiens... Also known as "the Habs" 🤨 Totally humiliated from the season before, Bruins came back to win the cup 1972 playoffs Last year around february, Brad Marchand started panicking a bit in interviews because he was afraid history was going to repeat itself. It did. They fell down first round in the playoffs again just like 1971! Just like Tampa did 2019 So this season, I'm betting Cap'n ratt is counting on history repeating itself! There's a lot of that weird history in coincidences going on through Bruins history Enjoy! 🐻🏆
Not a bruins fan but they’ve got some of the best personalities in the league, fun to watch, and since the hawks aren’t in the playoffs, i think i might be rootin for these guys 🐻
I've loved The Boston Bruins and the game of hockey for what later this month will be half my life on my birthday. The "warrior" thing about our sport has been said before, but take away actual swords and replace them with the stick and hockey players are like my favorite characters in classic literature. I really the Bruins have learned from the heartbreaking choke of last year and do something really special. Many more happy moments with JVR in the league is my second big wish. GO BRUINS!
This series used to be so good. Now it’s all about watching game highlights. It’s supposed to be Behind the B how about some Behind the B stuff and not just all games and 30 seconds of pre game locker room talk
The Panthers are the bottom feeders of the NHL. Complete scumbags all through that team. They intentionally try to hurt key players of the other teams, and then threaten other players. I'm so stoked that we swept those pieces of trash 4-0 this season. If we see them in the playoffs again this year, we can only hope that Monty doesn't screw the team AGAIN by keeping an injured goalie in the freaking net for 3 consecutive games.
I live for behind the b
same here
Denis Leary is the most dedicated fan of the Bruins and he does a great job narrating.❤
The bruins playing the panthers in Florida is still pretty much a home game 😂
No it’s not 😂 you cant be talking panthers own the bruins
@@HockeyguyBenjamin SEASON SWEEP BUD. Go cry

God I wish I started following hockey sooner…just started this year and now plan to be a lifelong follower. Love this team! 🐻🏒

Great episode…loved getting to know Peeke a bit and big number 55…looking forward to seeing some stuff about Maroon soon!

Bruins rule Florida. Playing the panthers is a home game but I'm out here in tampa and every game at Amalie is 3/4 B's fans as well!
Except when actually playing each other lol
I wish these were an hour long hahah
I love theBruins great game hi lites with mic'd up players, best its been!
Maroon is about to be the icing on the cake. I wonder who he will play with. I’ll take a guess of him centering zacha and pasta 👀
Don't think separating the heinen, zacha, pasta line makes sense. Also maroon is def bottom 6
Shoutout 2 Grez 4 lookn out for he's boi🙌🏼💫
This Bs team is looking good, let's get the STANLEY Boyz! #GoBs
Thanks for making a crappy week better for me boys.
Fear the Bear...
No footage of Monty’s crucible the day before the Florida game???
What in the name of everything Montreal is Celine doing in the B's dressing room? haha
Andrew and I share the same birthday day. Cool.
FYI that bottle Marchy gave JVR is $175
Is Lucic still on the roster?
⚠️ Come on B's ! 🚨 🐻🖤💛 ⚠️
First comment let's go B's!

Shut up kid this is the reason my sister who doesn’t really like any other sports watched hockey.
not our problem😊
yeah but for this part of the season there’s not much other than that
It's the stretch run to the playoffs. There isn't much else going on. This is still a great series. Get over yourself.
To even be in on the locker room is a privilege. Don’t be that guy 😂
Thought this was “Behind the B” not “Watch some Highlights” …what happened?? 😠
Not much going on overall right now I guess
New intro is cool, but no players at all? Seems very generic for a show that is about a team of real people.. I loved the old style
FIRST YAY
Please, God, I'm begging you...let the Bs lose the disco gold on their uniforms next season 🙏
