The deciding question🙃: Would you recommended me a show bow or proto bow? I don’t actually know the difference, and am thinking that if my bow is too extreme, I wont be able to adjust to it from my low bow.
Hi, I will ask Osaka and see what they say but if they haven't got one available the ShowBow will play very similar its a slightly different curve to the bow but the same max bow point. Id say it will likely have less of an issue with the twisted head shape but will still run up against the usual full low bow considerations like hitting angles.
The face of the head of a hockey stick and the face of the flat shaft (handle) above the head are by Rule to be in the same plane, so 'twisting' the head 'back' "to make the bow more aggressive" (0.39 sec.) makes the stick illegal as that twist does not comply with the permitted deviations.
I think there is some wiggle room in the stick rules from the FIH as there are several sticks that dont meet the letter of the law but are still allowed in FIH tournaments and pass all assessments.
@@BossFHockey A Rule is a Rule, mentioning "wriggle room" is just an indication that Rule is being ignored (even when being deliberately contravened) ; something that is not at all new in hockey.
I'm not going pretend to be an fih umpire so I won't comment on that. If you want to talk details on stick rules and get useful answers best to hit up FHUmpires as Keely is very knowledgeable
Proto bow is slightly more aggressively curved around the max bow point. The proto bow also has a twist in the head to make it easier to get under the ball for dragflicking
Is a low bow and a protobow pretty much the same thing bc I have a low bow and I’m thinking of getting this stick but don’t want it to be a huge change?
I wouldn't say this is an all round bow. I'd say that would be a low bow not and extra low bow. Thus is a very well rounded xlb definitely, one of top 5 best for sure.
@@BossFHockey I have a 1 year old osaka pro tour 100 bronze (low bow) and its a bit beaten. Should I buy this? I have seen a white one (I think 2019/2020 version) for a good price.
@@BossFHockey Would you say the JDH X93 Concave is a better all around stick then the Osaka Pro Tour LTD Proto Bow? And in terms of dragflicking. I just found a new JDH X93 Concave (2019) for 80 euro’s, but since my budget is 200 (Osaka fits in there) I would like to know which I should buy.

You will be able to adapt to either might just be an easier transition to the show bow. The protobow has twisted head to make it easier to dragflick
Could you please do a review of Osaka Pro Tour LTD Show Bow? I couldn't find any review of it...

Boss F Hockey thank you!! Hope they have one! Would love to see a review of it! Thanks for the advice! :)
Can you make a review of the princess premium 10star dragflick stick?

What’s the difference between a show bow or pronto bow- commenting for the giveaway as well!

No, they are similar but the proto now is a more aggressive curve and has a twisted head.
would be awesome to play with this! keep up with the awesome reviews

@@BossFHockey btw whats the difference between pro tour ltd and pro tour 100.
Would you be changing bow profile? The white is last year's stick and is also very good so it's definitely worth a look if you are looking to upgrade
