Gotta get this to 700! He’s been hitting a few 2-run HRs and go-ahead homers so he’s doing more than just hitting home runs, he’s contributing to giving them a chance to win the ballgame. ‼️
He's been clutch. I'm a Dodger fan but a part of me wants to see him come up for his final at bat in the 9th inning of WS Game 7. That would be amazing. Also, everyone is watching and waiting for HR No. 700, but only two guys have cracked 2200 RBI and he's on the verge of becoming the 3rd. Amazing, just wish he got to play those two missing seasons with the Angels.
I realized that after 698, it always seems like his HR are impactful. Of these 10, _eight_ came in close ball games (up or down by 2 or fewer runs at the time).
A great guy & a living legend who is going out on top! The Cards have a real chance to at least challenge the Dodgers in the postseason.. Watch them win at least one playoff series, can't wait!
It is so awesome to see Alberto Pujols give everything he has in these last at bats he has left on this season.. he has proven how when The MACHINE is in a zone no pitcher can get him not to hot a 🧨 unless they walk him.. kinda sad to see him age while running the bases but so satisfying to see him touch home plate!! I pray to see 700 VAMOS ALBERTO!! 🇩🇴
I live about 10mi down I44 from baseball heaven-St Louis is pumped full of high energy watching history unfold. The best move the Cardinals have made in a long time was bringing Albert home this year. Let’s go Cardinals 👏👏 👏👏👏
There was no doubt in anyone's mind after his 1yr with the Dodgers expired, Mozeliak HAD to get him back home for one final ride into retirement, then to Cooperstown with the team he started his legacy with. And they got him on a steal of a deal. I feel that he only went West bc his now ex-wife wanted a slice of that Hollyweird lifestyle, and after a few years dealing with injuries, Albert himself got sick of being on a non-contender. He wanted that hype of knowing he'd see the postseason again, and chose to come home because he knew Waino, Yadi, and Skip were there waiting for him to mentor the younger 'birds to take over the helm once his generation was done and retired. And so far... It's paid DIVIDENDS for the Cardinals. This, aside from practically robbing the Rox of Arenado at gunpoint, could be a keystone move in Mozeliak's time as PBO/GM

yeah bro, he's still got a ways to go before hank aaron. 5th on all time hits, 4th on all time runs, hit 755 home runs without the juiced ball era and without steroids, holds the all time records for RBIs, total bases, and extra base hits. 20 consecutive seasons of 20+ home runs each, 15 total seasons of 30+ home runs each. career .305 hitter. absolutely insane pure hitter who also has 3 gold gloves just because and 25 all star selections.
I was vacation at the STL/COL game with my old man for no.690. The video does no justice to just HOW loud Busch got when Pujols hit it. EVERYONE knew it was a line drive dinger. Edit: You can tell that Nootbaar is definitely one of his shining pupils. The kid observes and studies The Machine diligently, and is a HUGE morale booster for this team.
I can't believe Albert Pujols came back to St Louis and did this!!! WOW. I think I Albert's the best player of all time!!! These home runs are not a mistake Albert is working and it's paying off!!!
I'll be at the game in St.Louis 9/13 against the Lewsers with great seats just off the field 3rd base line. If I get to See Albert hit a homer...I'll lose my mind.

Imagine if he simply got stuck at 699. Just couldn’t muster up any more power to drive home any long balls. Highly doubt though, he’s on a hot streak that can’t be broken at the moment. My guess here: he finishes between 701-704 home runs. Final pick: 702 HR
And he does it when his team is down or when they need a lead. It's not just about the record, but to help his team. Look at the scores when he hits his home runs.
Albert has always been so clutch, he popps off when you need him most. It's sad to think where he'd be at if the Angels front office didn't stimey his success
Nos. 696 and 697 were against righties, so it looks like the Cardinals will let him DH against all pitchers. His numbers for BA/OBP/SLG//OPS are .266/.338/.528//.866 presently, which is incredible considering his age. Depending on his family situation, it'd be nice if he would consider coming back next season, regardless if he gets ≥ 700 HRs. All the best Albert, we're rooting for you!
As an Angels fan, I wish he would have lost weight when he was still on the Angels. Unfortunately, his last few seasons with us were garbo and he was super out of shape. Gawd damn
The fact he's never been associated with PED's makes this incredible to watch. Plus, Judge looks like he will finally break the All-time single season HR Record set by Roger Maris. Great record breaking season for MLB!!
See I love this, but most other players (Albert included) would have had a lot more home runs if the mandatory 3 batters minimum had been in effect earlier, these players would have faced a lot more relief pitchers of the opposite hand rather than mixing and matching that was done for many years prior which statistically would have caused a lot more home runs. If you don’t believe me, just look at Aaron Judge.
