Fun fact: The title is not in reference to Michel Foucault, who was, funny enough, Eco's friend, but rather the French physicist Leon Foucault.

Hi, I am a big fan of Umberto Eco from India. Foucault's Pendulum is one of my most favourite novels ! I have also read Baudolino and Pague Cemetery by Eco and am going to read The Island the Day Before

I came for Foucault’s Pendulum, I stayed for Zodiac. :)
People are right sometimes. By making investigative curiosity a mental problem any can remove the obstacles in hiding a larger crime. This is a perfect setting for politics, banking and "knowledge." Take something like "sustainable" and it's more expensive so the poor drop off. Now corporations must borrow more to start "the sustainable" and you can gaslight everyone to stay away from the other attempts. In a sense you had 2 conspiracy theories; the plot and the complainer. The government now like the "more money" and just "more" in general but let the larger plots go untouched as well. The larger greed is protected. A worker can get fired on the spot for much less. Almost microscopic violations. The top guys get 500 chances and "he is not bad" and "very loyal."
Dan Brown is a character in Foucault's Pendulum.
