I'm with you there, omivaun. China? Revolution? WTF? With all that sand and desert, I figured that Gain Ground's Third Epoch was the Middle East around the turn of the 19th and 20th Centuries, like around the setting of "Lawrence of Arabia" maybe.
You can see some eastern-themed houses in some of the levels and even a chinese-themed flooring at the last level, at least in the Arcade and Genesis versions
@@brasilballs I was always under the impression that that architecture was more Persian, or perhaps Indian. And I never knew China for their sand beetles (not necessarily giant beetles that pop up and spit fireballs at people). The whole epoch's a bit of a mess, but it's a _fun, atmospheric and enjoyable_ mess. 😎
