AGS is basically an automated manual. Think of Ferrari F430 or Enzo or Lamborghini Murcielago and Aventador. The thing with automated manuals is they tend to be very jerky every time they shifted gears and the clutch doesn't last that long. For Ferrari and Lamborghini, the average was 10,000 miles or 16,000 kms. I'm a former Suzuki Philippines car salesman and all AGS they have (Dzire, S-Presso and Celerio) have clutches that can last up to 31,000 miles or 50,000 kms so best to service your Suzuki before the clutch fails. Hope this helps.
It’s a shame they discontinued these in the UK, I have a ‘17 Celerio SZ4 and it’s honestly the best car I’ve ever owned, this 2023 version is beautiful! I would definitely upgrade to one of these if we had them over here still.
I have the 2nd gen celerio and yes, the signature suzuki is its solidly built interior plastics which is waaay BETTER than our relative's wigo and the mirage. It's nvh is also at par with the brio. The engine is very durable and efficient. But suzuki should do better with the designs and with their pricing though i got mine because it's on a promo and i'm a kuripot so i needed the most fuel efficient vehicle which is this.
Did a test drive of the Celerio a week ago. I must admit, I find the AGS quite interesting. The Celerio would make an ideal first car for newbie drivers or as a second car. For the price as Caco mentioned, the car should have a better infotainment system that has apple car play/android auto and a reverse camera. I found the reverse parking sensor a wee bit too sensitive as well. The side mirrors are a little bit too small for my Tito eyes. Ahahah. Kidding aside, if Suzuki can address add/change the afforementioned features, they would have more buyers. Thanks for the great review! Cheers!🤙
Your sentence construction is kinda weird. Wee bit? A little bit too small? Where are you from? Why do you express yourself like that, kinda odd and off putting.
Well it should be like this: when you want a small hatch with an automatic transmission, choose Celerio but if you want a small hatch with a manual transmission, choose Spresso.
I own a second gen celerio and i like it as it is a fuel saver. Basic and durable. The new model feels like it is a downgrade in terms of the transmissions that they chose. It is bigger tho than the old one
I think the reason behind placing the window switches in middle is that it doesn't get wet when opening the door when it's raining. We have a gen 2 celerio and the common issue we get is that the window switch gets corroded due to getting wet. Hence, the window wouldn't open.
Is the rumors true that if AGS fails, they need to replace the whole system since its not fixable as of now? Saw it from a dzire group with same issue. They replace the whole AGS

For that price i was expecting the Indian spec with the better headunit and push button start. Still between this and the S Presso, its a coin flip. The Spresso with the AGS has the head unit, a little more passenger room and split fold back seats missing, the Celerio has those. But the Celerio has a slightly smaller trunk(in terms of liters which, lets be honest, isnt a real measure of a trunk), power windows all around and the lack of android auto

I'm still staying with the G4. There isn't anything in the Celerio that is going to make me switch. I can get 26 km/l on the highway with my 2017 CVT and around 11 in the city, which is not bad for a 6 year old car. Still waiting on a car that can make me change my mind about the G4.
