I have a pair of these ski and I love them. I run them as my everydayers. I’m coming off of atomic Blogs and Automatic. These skis are so sick. I would recommend anyone to get these ski.
This made my day! You guys look like you are having a blast and not sitting around a dark basement playing Nintendo all winter. Get out there! Yeah any ski over 210 is going to get ugly on frozen snow...fix more phones : )
Honestly, for how playful and wide they are, I feel like they're honestly really damp. They're not a metal ski so of course it's not going to crush through crud, but they have mad camber and are pretty stable i feel. As an all mountain ski though, you're better off with the 100's
As an all mountain ski the 90 or 100 is fine if you dont like speed and like to land switch. If you like speed and never land switch there are vastly superior choices.
Hey I have a question, what size ski did you ride in this video? because I wanted to know your height to know if im to short to ride the 174's. (Im 5,3 btw)
I love these planks! I also have the ‘22’s. They were built for POW and that is where they shine. I would say buy them for POW and you will have blast. I have a large quiver and am very lucky but still love these BENTS. 🤘
I loved these skis, but the soft wood cores don't withstand many days of hard skiing. I've had two pair with bindings that ripped out in the middle of the 2nd season. Great ski, but don't expect them to last.
watch him ski in the video. Not in the first person footage. He is so far back in the backseat it's a dead giveaway off a really low skill level. This is not the channel for a competent review of anything. Sorry...
The reason not to buy the BC120's is if you don't already have another pair of skis? Lol... Anyone looking for a pair of 120mm wide skis is not buying their first or only pair of skis. If you don't have more than 1 pair of skis they should probably be 95-105mm wide
I know everyone is putting there take on them so I figured I would chime in; Fyi my experience is I have been skiing for about 14 yrs and have. skied all around the world. These skis are by far an amazing pair of skis without a doubt. Everything you hear about them in regards to skiing in powder is true. They are playful fun an agile, in the powder. Now the problem comes to everything not in the powder. On groomers and icey slopes these skis are not stable. When you ski fast down them in my own experience I have the feeling of barely being in control but still being in control do to the unstableness of them. Now don't get me wrong I love them for this sketchiness, but now looking back upon the purchase I would have gone with a pairs of bent cheties 110s or 100s. These skis are great but they are not a one ski does all kind of ski.
Well you are perfectly right for everything apart from the rather polarizing conclusion you made. These are powder skis, it is perfectly understandable that they are chattery on hardpack. If they need to be smooth, they should be even harder to flex and would weight a ton. Which will ruin the powder capabilities. Part of the problem could be that you are lighter skier, like me, and this ski length is overkill. I am skiing BC100 5cm longer than me and they are fine but 100 is a lighter and easier to flex ski. No offence man, you are correct just not very honest title.
I bought exact same pair but 184 in December 2021, and spent the entire season skiing on them as a daily driver, only in february i bought with the discount Bent chetler 100. Bent chetler 120s are honestly very stiff, really hard to bend.. Their stiffness gives a lot of fatigue at the end of the day. I have a lot to compare in their category, I've skied ("not just one day")K2 hellbent, k2 pettitor, K2 obsethed, Armada ARV 116, K2 shreditor. All of them a way softer skis in terms of flex. With that being sad, i strongly disagree, bentchetler 120s they perform equally well on powder, and on hard snow, they carve better than any powder ski i've skied on. The only drawback i found, as that they give more fatigue to body, having skiing on them the entire day, again compared to other powder skis, i've tried.
@@dubvandijk839 I'am 182cm. I ride 184 size. I do 360, 180 and nose tail presses, i only ride at ski resorts, and my style of skiing is mostly for fun. I would say 184 works the best for people up to 185cm tall, for across the ski resort style of skiing. If you really like to go touring, freeriding in remote places, or helicopter skiing, i would go without any question > to 192cm size of bentchetlers.
Good thing there are quiver killers. I have the 2020 BC 120s and yes you need a spring ski. I use an old pair of Blizzard Rustler 9s for hard pack touring adventures. I'm lucky enough to get to Rogers Pass enough that the Bents are a must have ski. Nice review. Good to see you mount your ATKs at home.
I respect your opinion, but I myself have the völkl 121 (even wider and similar shaped and similar behaviour) and my dad has the chetler 120s. And ofc they are not the best skis for packed snow, but in my opinion, you just habe to learn skiing them on more difficult snowtypes aswell. Also they are not designed for packed snow or wind pressed snow, but a good skier can ski most skis on almost all kinds of snow types…
www.sport-bittl.com/en/kohla-peak-multifit-120mm-custom-fit-skins-tbar-85-set-wax-and-skin-bag-incl-::215689.html Hers a link to the skins I bought. I got the ones which were 170cm long. If your´e outside of the EU you will have to pay 25% extra in taxes which I did. The skins are good but only cover the width of the ski in the middle, so you might want to look into getting even wider skins. However they have worked for me.
i have 2022 BC 120's 192 length and agree-- Only buy as a dedicated powder ski. It'sawesome for powder, trees and moguls in powder....suck for most everything else. Terrible on groomers, hard pack, firm moguls. Ok on thick chop. They were perfect on my Alaska Heli trip, sucked at Jackson Hole when on piste. I use Stockli SL 66mm underfoot for carvers, but still need an in between ski.when there is not fresh powder. but not a pure carving day either.

So In other words, they work great for what they’re meant to do and not so good for what they’re not. Does that really justify telling people not to buy them? Video should be titled “why I shouldn’t have bought the bentchetler 120s”
The bent chetler 120 is the best ski I’ve ever owned for all around fun factor. They dance through the powder and make you feel like a rockstar. I use them on the good snow days they go everywhere with ease even moguls once you learn how to ski them. When the conditions aren’t so good I use a C6 “The Judge” 106 mm width underfoot. A narrower ski does seem better when the snow is either very wet or very icy. When the snow is average or better I always use the Bent Chetlers
