Do you think she might be baking those ones because she does not show us that she is frying those ones. She is frying some shorter ones that do not have that sauce she brushed on. Did you brush sauce on yours and then fry them?

Third, the title is in English and so is the description, why not the closed caption? It says, "Easy Recipe" and there are no instructions. I'm one of the "Thumbs Down"
I'm glad subtitles worked. But faster and easier to just make hash browns, adding same seasonings and put cheese on top. However these look like something that could be frozen and baked or fried later to save time.

You don't need starch in this. You just need to make sure you boil the potatoes in hot water with some sodium bicarbonate to break down the pektin, then they will turn out nice and crunchy.

I tried these today and I must admit, I was not very impressed, maybe I used too much cornflour or the olive oil paprika coating ruined it but I think that you idea would work really well. I think that I had to use too much cornflour because the potatoes held too much water and I had to add the flout to make the rolls, maybe baked potato would be a lot drier.
@@honestchris7472 i think the potatoes in the video were a bit too moist aswell popping open in the pan like that by the expanding water. you could try to dry out the potatoes a bit by chucking the pieces back into the pot (or oven) on low heat. I don't quite trust the recipe tbh - I'd rather make some proper pommes dauphine

It is what I always do for any new recipe idea (not that this was a new idea of course) I can imagine these to be crispy on the outside and mainly potato on the inside. I like the idea another person suggested was to use Cayenne on the outside.

Thank you for this great tip. Didn't know about Soda Bicarb making boiled potatoes crunchy.
The starch was not put for the crunch but to make the mixture non sticky and doughy so it doesnt fall apart..
