Fishing for Striped Bass in an underwater forest!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 1 бер 2023
- Made a flip of the coin decision to go check out a new lake and see if I could find one of those giant stripers that gave this lake its reputation as a trophy factory back in the 90s and 2000s.
Unfortunately I had a few hiccups in getting ready that morning so we missed the prime time early morning bite so we did the best we could given our situation.
Hope y'all enjoy it!

Good Job Terry!
Thanks man!! Kinda bummed that I haven't found the time to get back there again lately 😕
this got me pumped!
Me too! Unfortunately the weather today has me looking out of the window wishin' I was fishin'
Good vid, Terry! Glad you were able to “muster” up those fish. lol
Thank you!
Been to Russell once and it’s definitely a forest down there. What made you decide to fish where you fished? Did you find fish before you started fishing? It would be helpful if you went over water depth, temp., tackle, and conditions that contributed to a successful trip at the start of your videos. Thanks for another great video!
I appreciate the feedback, truly! It's hard to decide what to keep and what to scrap to keep the video from being too long in the tooth. I had originally left a lot more info in this video on the first cut. Problem is that I become critical of myself and think that people don't want to hear me ramble on about the small details. I will start leaving more info in the videos 😉
I’m fishing Clark’s hill in April, should I run my planer boards as close as possible to the points? also, if I am using artificial should I use umbrella rig or diving baits. I’m not above catching spots.
Thanks love the videos
That depends heavily on the day and weather patterns but if I were rubbing boards that time of year abd looking for a big stripe I would run boards up shallow with some big shad ln and around the 3 to 5ft eep range and have the spread with some planers boards on the other side pulling over deeper water.
As far as artificial goes stealth trolling mini Mac umbrella rigs from captain macks has become a proven and super effective way to catch a bunch of hybrids when they are running

Great video Terry! I have not fished that lake. Looks good though!
All 3 lakes are great for hybrids and stripers Hartwell, Russell, and my favorite lake to fish Clark'sHill
What is that board looking thing on your lines?
It's called a planer board. We use them to pull our lines way from the boat so we can slow troll covering a wider area.
can you share some specs of your trolling rods and reels? love catching stripers
Overpopulation and polluting big problem
Nice video man! 😎👍😎👍😎👍
I appreciate it brother 🙏
