Hey Dave just curios to know how does the bikes handle in different road conditions with front panniers like Bonnie has the coolers are great and just the way your bikes are set up appeals to me though i carnt get an idea of how they balance out thank you would be obliged for a description of how to load and braking capacity 😊 if you would like to comment yours sincerely

      Hey mate.
Truthfully, it all depends on the bike. The bikes in this video are designed to take panniers front and rear, though mine takes a front load slightly better than Bonnie's as a quirk of how they've altered geometry for the sizing. If you want to nerd out about it, bikes with a low trail number handle a front load better - ie bikes with a steep head tube angle. They'll feel really twitchy without a load, but then you stick panniers on and it slows down the steering a bit and it evens out. Some bikes actually feel better with panniers up front!
You'll also find that steel bikes feel a bit "smoother" with some weight on them. As you'll probably know, steel bikes are known for their ability to soak up road vibrations - but what isn't as well known is that if you load them up with a bit of weight, this helps to "preload" the steel and it will flex more readily.
There are many ways to skin this particular cat and the only thing I can recommend is to get a steel bike - and one that speaks to you personally. You'll get far more out of a bike that you love and makes you want to ride it.
If you want a second opinion on anything, you know where I am mate!

      Some proper wobble board action.
