I'm done with copy trading. I copied swiss, kresimir and celesh with $200 each ($600). I traded myself with $150 in the same timeframe I was copying them and made more profit than all 3 of them put together in less time. Hope your move goes smoothly. All the best ❤
Almost the exact same situation here! I lost so much almost overnight copying Swiss and Celesh and they just seem to have lost the plot almost overnight and refuse to address it. I trade Forex myself and I've covered the losses but I just think what on earth are they doing, what is going on?
Hi Thomas I think it is a good idea to make videos about your other interests and about the place you live. As many people watch you for your personality more than just for trading. People got to know you better by now and would love to see more of your life. Also Malta is a beautiful place to film too. You can take advantage of tge fact you live in this interesting place.

have you ever calculated your profit/loss manually? etoro calculates it in a really strange way... if i add all the dollar up that i payed in and compare it to the total value of the portfolio, i have quite a different number...
Good channel. The only channel that's not swarmed by bots trying to promote a potential scam. I've got one question. At which percentage do I set a stop loss to automaticaly end copy? What do you recommend in your experience as a copy trader? Wanna hear something funny? I have zero expierence in trading, absolutely none, infact I have not executed a single trade on my own in my entire life. However I'm able to read graphs to determine who is good to copy from. There is one thing I didnt calculate as a noobie... I entered a potential market crash apparantly. EVERYONE is losing this August so it appears... My luck again!
At 14:12 you showed us your statistics of copy trading. It seems doesn’t go well, do you still think that copy trading is a profitable way to make passive income, or just a losing game?
There is no way to evaluate a PI on their performance over 2-3 years. I would start considering reliability with a 10+ year history, although statistically we would need 30 years. If I'd copy someone, it would be based on the soundness of the strategy, and based on evidence/research. Any other choice is gambling.
Hello Thomas, I have a query that you may be able to help with. I have recently started copy trading, however there doesn’t seem to be an option to only copy future trades? I’ve seen elsewhere there is normally a box to tick/untick when you’re entering how much £ to copy with, however I don’t seem to have that option? Any suggestions?
The “every month is green” traders are the real risk, be careful. Often they risk a bit and double down until they are in the green. At some point the market turns when they have doubled down lots and thats when you get the large losses
It's a good point... I only know of 2 who had always been green... Swissway had a few reds, but nothing like this. (unless they were and he rebounded using risky strategies...)
Volatility is not risk, premenent loss of capital is. Dont make decisions based on volatility, it can be cheaper to copy after a volatility spike and you might end up with better returns: so high volatility might be a better chance to start copying.
Hello, I really want to invest with Coñy Trading for long term but I have one last question, I make an investment of 1000 dollars and put a CSL of 30 of the value (700), at the end of the year we make a profit of 20%, now the investment is worth 1200, the CSL is still calculated about 1000 or it adjust now about 1200? Or how does this part works when we talk about gains !
As far as I'm aware, it sticks to the original amount in terms of dollars which i wanted to risk. If the copy goes up in value then, I should notice that my CSL percentage seems to be getting smaller and smaller as time goes on, as that same amount of money becomes a smaller and smaller percentage of the amount I'm now copying the PI with. Remember, I'll now be copying that PI with my original investment plus the profits they've made for me. Also, if you put a CSL of 30%, that means you're risking 70% of your money. The CSL % that you set represent how much of your money you DON'T want to risk. It's confusingly set - I'm not sure why.
Thankyou so much for the update. Hope your move goes well. I had Swisway on my watch list before but never actually copied him. I was looking forward to copytrading forex, but it seems there had not been much profit, more loss. Have you ever manually stopped copy trading an asset that is in one of your copy trader portfolio? I am curious. I manually stopped copying some of the individual assets before as I didn’t want to trade certain ones that was consistently on a loss.
Hey there - thanks. I have, in the distant past, manually stopped copying certain assets, but then I felt that if i was doing that, it meant i'd have to constantly monitor what they were trading, which would defeat the purpose of copy trading for me... So I stopped and decided to either not copy them or copy them and trust their portfolio as a whole. Having said that, maybe now, the auto-rebalancing system would just open the trade again automatically...
Hi, I had a question based on one of your previous videos. It may be a stupid question as i may just be misunderstanding but I was hoping for clarification. In a previous video you were looking at the stats page and explaining the profits/losses compounded. You said the figure displayed for the year is not just the months added up, so what is that number made up from? If I had 2 green months, say 2% each month, then a month of red at 2%, am I down overall or still up 2%? Sorry i'm a bit confused by it thanks
If I understood correctly, each monthly bar is the percentage compared to the closing balance of the previous month. If you started with $1,000 on Jan 1st, and ended at $900 on Jan 31st, that is a 10% loss. If it's up 5% by the end of Feb, the balance is $945 (900*1.05) If it's up another 5% by end of Mar, the balance is $992.25 (945*1.05) So even though you lost ten percent, then made back five percent and five percent, you're still down. It would be a mistake to add up the green numbers 5+5 and say that is equal to the red 10.
So let's say you start with $100. Month 1 - you make 2% - that's $2 You now start month 2 with $102. Month 2, you make 2% - that's $2.04 (as you're now making 2% of $102, as it includes your profits from month 1) You now start month 3 with $104.04 Month 3, you lose 2% - so you're losing 2% of $104.04 - that's $2.0808. You start month 4 with $101.9592 You're still in profit :) But you get the point. Each month you're making or losing the percentage on the result of everything that came before.
Thanks a lot :) I’m currently In italy trying to film the local street dogs for a short… I’m back learning about cameras and dynamic range and things. Really interesting. Really appreciate your comment :)
