Vicmar, the ship stranded in Ensenada, why is it there?

The Vicmar ran aground on a beach between Salsipuedes and Saldamando, on December 10, 2016 and was one of the many fishing boats that would suffer the same fate on the peninsula.
Currently it has become a tourist site that everyone wants to reach, but its difficult access has proven to be quite a challenge.
The entrance is located at Kilometer 92+600 of the Scenic Highway going from Tijuana to Ensenada, a few kilometers before the San Miguel booth.
The view is really worth it and we hope that soon it will be possible to improve access and security for those who visit it. If you go and manage to go down, don't forget to tag us in your photos with the hashtag #RediscoveringBC.
