The first ten minutes. In the beginning of this video we can see "Sergels-torg", a place where many demonstrations are heald, where you also can hear religious groups try to convert people and some conspiracy folk arguing for what they believe; near this square you can also see "Kulturhuset" that is a large building for art, music, theatre, history and culture. At 1:13 The red/white building to the right is Åhléns-huset, a large department store designed by “Backström & Reinius Arkitekter AB”, the building is taking up almost a whole city block. At 1:20 we are passing the subway station “T-Centralen '' where all subway lines come together and where you can switch over to the computer trains and the main train lines. It's a large underground system that now also includes a passage to a bussterminal. At 1:45 turning in on Drottninggatan, which is a long pedestrian street with many stores, but only for a very short bit before taking a detour down to Sergels-torg that's located under street level. At 5:40 The tower in the distance is Stockholm Stadshus (Stockholm City Hall) that is famous for the Nobel Prize Party. At 6:20 the camera entered the political center of Sweden, on the right side you can see Rosenbad, a building owned by the Swedish State and serves as the seat of the Government, in the video it is undergoing a renovation At 7:00 The white house to the left is called “Sagerska palatset” (Sager palace) and is the official residence of the prime minister of Sweden, the yellow house is the department of foreign affairs. At 7:45 entering Riksdagshuset, the parliament house At 8:52 Kungliga slottet, the Royal castle. The original color was thought to be yellow and there is still a debate if it shall go back to the original color. At 9:50 Entering Gamla Stan, the old city. Mostly a tourist trap with rather bad souvenir stores and fast food places, large parts of the old street level facades on this street have been modernised, so it often recommended to go up and explore the smaller side streets that have less stores but more history.
I have traveled the world and seeing many impressive cities all over. Stockholm, is on a league of its own. What a great, fun, beautiful and cosmopolitan city you Swedish people have. Something to be proud of, indeed. I have been there many times and never, ever get tired of it. It has so much to offer and for every taste. I can't wait to visit that city again.

Thank you for recommending this video. I enjoyed it. Excellent videography. The uninterrupted video and street sounds with no commentary or editing provide an intimate tour of downtown Stockholm. Again I am stuck by the cleanliness of the city. Over the entire hour, despite considerable vehicular traffic, I only heard a car horn sound three short times at intersections where apparently a driver didn’t see the green light. And no police seen or sirens heard. (Nothing against police mind you, it’s just nice to see you do not need police spread out all over the city to keep it safe.) You have a beautiful city there and great people. I would like to visit someday. I hope you produce a new similar video during the Christmas holidays. It would be great to see. Tack så mycket!
Sirke you are wrong. It is easy to say that in hindsight. To make better living konditions was very secondary. When they demolished The Klara Quarters they replaced a very historic part of the city consisting mainly of residential buildings with offices and shopping malls. The main intet was to modernise which back then meant replace beautiful and historic with cold and boring.
They should have eighter renovated the old buildings or built new buildings that are beautiful and not terrible brickblocks . Modern architecture destroy European cities including Stockholm.

Hello Brigitte! Thanks for this comment. I was watching this video again and am happy that viewers seem to enjoy it. The panning indeed got a bit better since the earlier videos - which there are still more coming. The audio with the 3 wind shields finally is also less "rumbly". After sunset the camera catches only little light. Some bigger sensors surely do better yet I'm happy with the portability that allows so many videos. Stockholm is fantastic during the summer with long days and lots of light - I'm still happy I saw it this time on a cold and wet fall/winter day.
Hi Birgitte! Thank you so much for your excellent time-map! And thank you Daniel for your leg-work!
